1) My feeling for today's college ticket is that it would be imprudent to base today's picks on last week's performance. Freaky things happen on Thanksgiving week. Louisville looked abyssmal vs a team they should have defeated by 80 , UConn was air - tight vs. South Florida … so South Florida was inept vs. U Conn , and LSU played like they all took 2 Valium and a quart of Bud one hour before their game vs. Arkansas. I'm looking for turnarounds in form today.
2) For all of you who had Fresno last night …. Nobody likes to be lectured after a loss but please spit the bad taste out of your mouths and do it quickly … it will only cloud judgment for their upcoming Bowl Game. Don't let last night ( or last week ) stop you from playing on them. They will do very well in their next game ( I believe it's The Liberty Bowl ) Just consider what I'm saying.
Last Night : Louisiana Tech +25 over Fresno as a Regular Play Won
Today's Top Plays:
Louisville - over U Connecticut …. from all I've read and opinions I've heard , Everyone is on Univ. of Connecticut. I would assume they are basing this on what they saw last week from both teams. What I saw last week was a Louisville QB who just didn't try hard vs lowly Syracuse and he was injured because he didn't give 100 % . Admittedly I know very little of his replacement , the Cards just might compensate, rally around him and play this game with maximum effort on both sides of the line of scrimmage. ( Who really knows for certain whether any team will go all out on any specific day ? ) Sure I'm making some assumptions here but my feeling is that Louisville will give The Huskies a real good ass kicking . Same sitch as Boise St. over Louisiana St. last week, and I want to be the only one (along with you) who are on The Cards. ( I don't think Brian Brohm is all that good to begin with, ESPN is trying hard to dupe us into believing that he has game ... I haven't seen any ) and I'm willing to wager that his replacement is not a step downward in class. The 5 point move toward U. Conn was a gross over reaction. )
Go Cardinals !!!
USC - over UCLA … Blowout
LSU over Georgia … Georgia a dog in the Georgia Dome ? I'm not biting. We'll see a much different LSU team than last week.
South Florida + over West Virginia … this will be an ambush and The Bulls will push W. Va. to the hilt. They lost last week to UConn and permitted Cincinnati to back door them the week before. I'm guessing what they've had on their minds were today's opponent.
For the Bowls , I'll post my stuff on the day that the game or games are being played. Every year there seems to be a scandal with a big name player ( usually involving a dame …. or an opiate or a handgun ) which turns everything upside down. No percentage whatsoever in posting every play in advance. Some do … I don't see the merit in it.
As Always ,
Best of Luck
