Had a pretty large bet on Spurs money line parlayed with NIU moneyline.

Probably a top 3 worst gambling loss of my life.

          Question

I was on the over, and happy with results. Can anyone explain to me the logic of the prevent defense, and shutting down your offense is ? It is inconcievable to me to watch the coaching in some of these games. Looking backwards is 100% I know, but wasn't it obvious in the last quarter that NI was going to give that game away if they kept playing the way they were. I wonder how many games are lost in the last few minutes with this approach.I am happy for the Akron team, but can't help but feel for the kids from NI who followed their leader to defeat. Comments ?

I was saying the same thing as the game was happening. They were basically hanging back and letting Akron gain 10 yards per play. That may have worked if it was the NFL and the team had no timeouts, but in college with the clock stopping after every first down (essentially every play in that game) they were letting Akron go right down the field. That was brutal. The kind of loss where you immediately turn off the TV and storm out of the room.

Oh well....no point in dwelling on it. Time to get it back.
