Concerning my play on Buffalo in the NHL - Yes - San Jose has Thornton tonight from the Bruins- See what the Bruins did to Ottawa- Shut em down. 3-0 no easy task. One of the three players scored a goal and an assist. Thornton did nothing to harbor a trade but he now plays alongside of his cousin for San Jose. I do not believe this is an individual's shining moment as the bettors do - the line is dropping in favor of San Jose- but a team concept. Buffalo has provided such a team concept and should provide the win tonight.

Also understand that that Thornton is only half of the story tonight:
Sabres winger Ales Kotalik is excited about the possibility of representing his homeland at the Olympics, and the two men responsible for selecting the Czech Republic team will visit him today in Buffalo.

General Manager Zybnek Kusy and coach Alois Hadamczik are on a two-week tour of North America to meet with their roster candidates.

"I have a chance, so they're coming to see my game," Kotalik said.
Kotalik, with a team-leading 13 goals plus five assists, would seem to be an automatic choice for the squad. Only one of his NHL countrymen had more goals heading into Thursday: future Hall of Famer Jaromir Jagr.

Kotalic will rock over Thornton tonight as Buffalo defeats the Sharks. Public has no clue of the A game he brings to gain a spot on the Olympic Team. They only bite from Thornton playing for San Jose. The Sharks gave up three decent players- excellent skaters and one contributed well last night. San Jose traded depth for Thornton.
