What u all think about thease following Big 10/ACC challenge games??

    Maryland -14.5 vs Minnesota
my lean is MD, only lose is against the best ZAG team ever and Minn is comming off an embarressing loss to Garner-Webb.

    Viginia -6.5 vs Northwestern
My lean is Virginia, my play is under 116, neither team seems to be able to score and hasen't given up much either.

    Duke -6 @ Indiana
My lean is Indiana at home, Duke is tough but i hate them so i think my feelings are involved. Looking at Dukes schedule they got Texas next week, so is 2 duke loses in 7 days possible?

Mich St -13.5 vs Ga Tech
My lean is Mich St, for all the reasons someone already posted. The only thing i like about GT is they don't got that tall, goofy, red-headed, aussie kid anymore, I HATED him.

    Iowa -5 vs NCST
My Play is NCST, they are underrated this year. Gonna shock a lot of people. The Cameron Crazzies better watch out for them also.

    Opionions Please
    Good Luck to everyone

    Clark: What's steroids?
Richie: Something that makes your pee-pee smaller.
Clark: There must be steroids in macaroni!

It's tough sometimes but you have to keep your hatred out of your capping. I'm VERY guilty of this alot.

How about Charlette -4 vs Davidson? Line opened at 11. I think it went down because Dickey V was saying how Ill or UNC was gonna have trouble with them.
            Good Luck to everyone

              Gopher Information

Here is the scoop on the Gophers for tonights game against Maryland: Looks like a good team to go against tonight !!!

Men's basketball: Gophers face test of will against Terps
              Jeff Shelman, Star Tribune
              November 30, 2005

This will be the biggest challenge the Gophers men's basketball team will face before Big Ten play begins in January.

Tonight's ACC/Big Ten Challenge game at Maryland isn't just another game. The No. 23 Terrapins are likely to be the only ranked team the Gophers will face in nonconference play. And the Comcast Center is the most difficult venue they will play in until a late-January trip to Illinois.

This would be a difficult trip for a well-rested and full-strength Gophers team. But they're neither well-rested nor at full-strength. It will be their third game in five days, and tonight they will again play shorthanded.

One day after a difficult one-point loss to Gardner-Webb, Gophers coach Dan Monson said his team would play tonight without reserve guard Rico Tucker. Forward Dan Coleman probably will return to action, though.

Tucker, a sophomore from San Diego, has missed much of the last month because of academic troubles. Monson said last week that Tucker might return in time for the game with the Terrapins. That hinged on him meeting several academic-related goals, but it appears those were not met because Tucker did not travel with the team.

Asked if there was a new timetable for Tucker's return, Monson said, "not really, but we're still hopeful."

Because of personal reasons, Coleman has not practiced since last Wednesday. He did play in Saturday's victory over Tennessee-Chattanooga but missed Monday night's game.

He was not at practice during the 30-minute span in which reporters can watch. A team spokesman said Tuesday night that Coleman was with the team on its flight to Maryland.

How much Coleman will play after missing four consecutive practices is unclear. It's unlikely he will start because Monson has been hesitant to start players who miss practice.

Even with Coleman back, the Gophers aren't at full strength. Moe Hargrow spent part of Tuesday's practice getting treatment on an ankle he twisted in the first half of Monday night's game.

"He's pretty stiff today," Monson said. "We've got some pretty stiff guys."

The hard part for the Gophers is to not let being tired and sore impact their preparation for tonight's game.

"We can't feel sorry for ourselves because Dan wasn't there last night or because Vince is hurt," sophomore center Spencer Tollackson said. "We obviously would like these guys here, but if they can't play, they can't play. We need to move forward and when they come back, let the chips fall where they may. We just need to keep pushing forward."

              Fatigue takes toll, Monson says

After watching the film of the loss to Gardner-Webb, Monson said fatigue did contribute to some late-game defensive breakdowns.

It's not completely surprising, because of the seven Gophers who played, four set career highs for minutes. Tollackson's 32-minute total was 12 more minutes than he has ever played. Forward J'son Stamper has set career highs for minutes played in each of the past two games.

Jamal Abu-Shamala -- who six weeks ago was a nonscholarship player expected to play a very small role this season -- played 27 minutes on Monday. He was much of the reason more than 25 percent of the Gophers minutes against Gardner-Webb were played by true freshmen.

Even if Coleman is available, fatigue will be a factor tonight. Monson is just as concerned that his players are tiring mentally.

"It's hard no matter how experienced you are, it's hard when you get tired or frustrated," Monson said. "Just being able to get guys out when things aren't going good for them to just relax them. Not being able to do that hurts."
Lack of money is the root of all evil.

Thanks a lot Slew That helps Strengthen my TERP play. I like the Terps, my future favorite NBA player plays for them. (I was a Strawberry fan as an 10 year old kid) Just hope he stays off the coke unlike is Dad (reason why he changed is name officially to DJ from Daryl and why he plays basketball and not baseball)
