I'm all for helping people, but to let these people around your children.....

This is of course if you are buying his story, that it isn't his? Either way, his logic is screwed up!

And to add to that...if this friend of his is such a friend...why is he letting Michael take the full brunt of this? It's only making it worse for him and his job security.

I'm sure if this friend would come out and bring truth to this "story" it would be things easier to swallow for the bosses at ESPN

        Who Gives A Ratz ................

SO THEY FOUND A PIPE, MEANS HE'S A HUMAN WITH A DRUG PROBLEM. LIKE THE OTHER 28 PERCENT OF AMERICANS WHO LIGHT UP.AND AS FAR AS BEING A ROLE MODEL YEAH RIGHT, GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!! HE IS HUMAN BEING IN THE SPOT LIGHT. BUT THEN AGAIN SINCE HE IS A ATHLETE HE SHOULD BE PERFECT WITH NO ADDICTIONS AND BE UN-HUMAN. THE HYPOCRITES IN THIS WORLD ARE MIND-BOGGLING. ILL BET THE RUSH LIMBAUGHS OF THIS WORLD(YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) ARE THE FIRST TO BASH HIM.

he's swerving big time. Didn't answer the drug test question the first two times, and finally said that he wasn't sure that ESPN could legally ask him to take one because he is not a full time employee....

              wow that screams guilt

But he's dogging him for not sceaming out to clear his name by taking a drug test.

When Gary Sheffield's name came up in the Balco scandal, Sheffield came out screaming that he wanted to take a drug test on the spot. Of course he knew that the players association would never allow that, so he could beat his chest all he wanted.

Irvin doesn't have that safety net.

They should fire Irvin and that idiot Mark May and bring back Alberts and Sharpe. Irvin adds nothing useful to the program and I just can't stand May.

I'm surprised that anyone gave him a job after his NFL career was over. Fire his ass

I can't understand why they got rid of Sterling Sharpe in the first place. He was actually one guy on TV who I liked.

Not controversial enough? God forbid we actually get some content.

I shouldn't take this here, but what the hell! In no way do I mean this political or racial- but I think back to Alberts getting fired or Limbaugh getting fired and it makes NO sense. Although I disagreed with Limbaugh, where were the defenders of free speech that have defended T.O.? Irvin keeps his job after commiting a criminal act (numerous times) and others get fired for their WORDS. Just amazing how these chickenshit people make their decisions. They don't want to piss off certain groups of people and you better keep your mouth shut if you're on that other side.
