Football betting question?

How much do you take into account when capping football games for line's that don't look right? For example like Ohio St/Michigan, where I would think the line would be a bit higher?

I don't do it with college.

Before I look at the posted lines I'll guess what I think each line should be.

As an example. Tonight, I like the Pacers. However, that line should be -8 to -10. I had to lay -13. I still played the Pacers but cut back my waged amount.
