I bought a 60 inch Philips HDTV from Sam's Club last year for $1499. We hooked it up with the Digital Gold package (600 channels) and DVR (Same as Tivo), along with a nice Yamaha Surround sound system. It is SWEET for Sports or anything else. HD is the best (except for plasma). We had a 46 inch big screen and we moved that into the bedroom.
Anyone interested in one of these should go to Sam's Club. The same TV at the time was $2799 & up at all the other places like BestBuy, Circuit City and so on. It was a GREAT deal and they still had some there last week.

Boy-I must be missing something as my screens are smaller. I have a Sharp Aquos 26" Flatscreen LCD High Definition, a Sony 23 Flatscreen LCD Wega and a conventional Sony 27" High Defintion set. I may buy a larger set for my living room one of these days.
I love the picture qualites I receive now, and both Sharp and Sony are rated at or near the top of the list by Consumer Reports.Last edited by savage1; 11-18-2005, 03:40 PM.

I have a 43" Sony HD in my den. I'd like to get a bigger TV but my wife thinks even this one takes up too much space. My 8' pool table and a little 43" TV takes up valuable space that could be used for plants and trees and fruuu fruuu. So, I pee in the corners every night to mark my territory. Speaking only figuratively, of course.

I have a Black and White 9" Dumont in my living room....One of the tubes is apparently starting to go out, cause we have to take it out ever so often, and put it in the Ice Box to cool down---it's apparently overheating.......
I might go to Dollar General and see if I can buy one of those 3" (Battery Operated") fans to try and cool it down....I am putting some of my winnings on the side, I may just go ahead and put that 13" Black and White (Zenith) on layaway....It's about 19-20 dollars....If I do good this weekend, I just may do that......
Hope you guys enjoy watching on those large screens, "My day is coming"......color too....kapt

Well, I watch my T.V. sports from a box across the street from the local electronics store, unfortunatly I don't get to pick the game I am watching because I lost all my money gambling. HAHAHA. Pretty much sit in the kitchen with the lap top on the center island and have a small 20 inch flat screeen that I watch.
