Monday List of 13: Wrapping up mostly football weekend:
            13) Before we start on NFL stuff, Reggie Bush had 513 total yards Saturday, an absolutely amazing performance, since it came in highly competitive game. Fresno State is good club (9-2, with only other loss 37-34 at 10-1 Oregon)

            12) Marc Bulger got hurt again, the Rams lost at home to the Cardinals, which will not sit well in St Louis, since Redbirds bolted St Louis for the desert. This team is a complete mess and losing at home to Kurt Warner won't make it better.

            11) You have to question whether Michael Vick will ever stay healthy enough to live up to his potential.

            10) Bears had eight sacks and forced two horrible INTs from Jake Delhomme Sunday, as they pushed Panthers all over Soldier Field. Chicago is 7-3 playing a rookie QB, so don't say it can't be done; he's a damn 4th round pick, by the way.

            9) At some point,.guy with lot of influence for NFL franchise said these words: "I think we should hire Dom Capers as our head coach." Not the best idea ever. Mike Martz to Houston makes sense, but they need couple of offensive linemen who can block first.

            8) Jets are worst team in NFL, other than Houston, and now Kliff Kingsbury's era begins. He is fifth Jet QB this season.

            7) Paul Tagliabue should prod the Chargers to switch to the powder blue uniforms full-time. Seriously.

            6) When Browns got 75-yard TD run on their first play, it was fairly clear that Miami, QB'd by the immortal Sage Rosenfels, was in for a long afternoon.

            5) Mike McMahon's Eagles gained 404 yards Sunday, but in the NFL, if you allow blocked punt for TD, you're going to lose; it just doesn't happen much in pro football. As backup QB's go, McMahon is pretty good.

            4) Bengals gained 492 yards and 8.4 yards per pass attempt, but it wasn't enough, as Arenaball game broke out in Cincy Sunday. Colts scored six TD's on ten drives, were 8-14 on 3rd down. At 10-0, trip to Seattle is biggest remaining roadblock to what could be the first 16-0 regular season in NFL history.

            3) Giants, Seahawks and Chargers were only teams without a turnover Sunday. All three won, of course.

            2) 49ers continue to be spunky at home; WR Lloyd made two of the best catches I've seen this year. Niners' 226 passing yards were vast improvement over previous few weeks.

            1) Jake Plummer is an efficient, mistake-free leader of one of the best teams in NFL. Who knew?

Vikings (4-5) @ Packers (2-7)- Green Bay led first meeting 17-0 at halftime in Twin Cities, but Vikings won game 23-20, Culpepper went 23-31/255. Minnesota now won three of last four after 1-4 start, but no more Culpepper; they were outgained 196-6 in first half last week, still led game, as defense, special teams earned their keep. Vikings are 2-9 in last 11 visits to this site, where any damage they did recently was done by now-departed WR Moss. Pack had terrific win at Atlanta; their defense is improving, forcing three turnovers vs Falcons, allowing just one TD drive of 80+ yards in last five games (20 drives). Third road game in four weeks for Vikings, who still have been outscored 88-10 in first half of their five road games.

                        Monday's Game
Miami won last five games over Ohio U, winning last two visits to Athens, 36-24/49-31; they outrushed Bobcats 146-9 last year in 40-20 win. This year, Miami won six of its last eight games, but was spanked at home by Bowling Green last week, turning ball over seven times, and going 2-13 on third down. Miami has covered five of eight as favorite this year (2-1 as road favorite). Bobcats also played last Tuesday, losing 27-3 at Akron; they've been better at home (3-1) but are 2-4 in last six games overall. Last four Miami road games stayed under the total.

                          Misinformation

It never ceases to amaze me how much misinformation there is on the web.

Vegas experts have the following trends in the N'orleans vs. Philly game.

New Orleans: 12-26 ATS off BB Overs
                          Philadelphia: 9-2 ATS in November

The Hornet trend is accurate. However, on the road off BB Overs they are 50%.

Philly is 6-5 ATS this season. I can't figure where they came up with 9-2

The moral of the story. Verify any info you find on the web.
