My real play yesterday was going to be the Kings (as I mentioned), but I was swayed from making it a posted play because everyone (public and cappers) where all over the Kings. It still won easily, but I was afraid to use it as my official play. So instead I used a really risky ML bet on the Raptors which, obviously, lost badly. Oh well. One play tonight:
2.2 UNITS to win 2 UNITS - Denver Nuggets -3.5 (@ KC Hornets)
I made the prediction at the beggining of the season that the Nuggets would be worse than predicted. I've been right so far. This does not change the fact that the Hornets have one of the lowest talent levels in the league (along with Atlanta and Toronto). There are valid reasons why this line is so low: the Nuggets are winless, K-Mart is hurt, the Hornets have put up decent showings at home so far this year, etc, etc. The thing is, the Nuggets need to break through on the road (and who better to do it against than a bad team), K-Mart being hurt is beneficial (he's one of the most overrated POS players in the league), and the Hornets have simply played over there ability.
I actually like this play more than 2 UNITS, but I've been killed on moderate road favorites this season (0-2 on -3 to -5 road favorites where both teams won but didn't cover). Still, I'll take a shot at it.
