Well the season is winding down and one team in this MAC game has to be highly disappionted as so much was expected out of Bowling Green this year. They even had Omar Jacobs highly touted to lead this team to great things only to fall and fall hard......The Heisman is no longer talked about when they were trounced on a weekday game aganist Boise St.
With a record of 4 -5 with two games left. Its hardly unlikely we will be seeing these falcons in a bowl game.....As they have Toledo next and i don't see them winning both games to be bowl qualified.
Bowling Green hasn't beaten Miami SU since 1997 ( 0 - 6 since 1998 )
Falcons have gone 1 - 4 SU & 0 - 4 - 1 ATS the Last 2 years in televised conference games.
My pick here:
MIAMI-OHIO - 10 ( 4 UNITS )
MIAMI-OHIO - UNDER 59.5 ( 3 UNITS )
The next game features a pair of 4 - 5 teams with no chance of a bowl game. Over achieving Ohio has pulled a few surprises this year with their head coach Frank Solich. This team has improved and will probably need a year or two before they can play with the upper etchlon of the MAC.
Akron on the other hand has a better chance of making it to a bowl game as they finish with two home games...This one and against Rival Kent St. on Nov. 23th. So the possiblity is there with 2 big home wins.
With the Zips having the incentive to be bowl qualified with 2 more wins my lean is on Akron.
