Chuck In Semi Pro Days Did You Ever Play Any Southern Teams, We Had The Championship Game Several Yrs Back In Ga As Game Officials????????

Just a team from Baltimore in 1981.....I played for a team called the Pgh Colts up until 1985....We mainly played teams from Ohio, NY,NE,WVU and Chambersberg, Pa......Then the owner snatched the $$ and ran off....
I got hooked on playing flag football with a team called Hippos in 1985 and we won the NT FL National Championship in St Louis that year beating Tin Pan Alley out of Ohio......We were made up of a bunch of ex NFL regecs...Those were the fun days....

I did get to play softball a lot against alot of southern teams over the years in Major, Class AA, Class A, Class B, and Class C teams in the 70's-94..I was privileged to win 7 National Tourneys with the Pgh Hardhats, Stewart's, Marodi Transfer, Chiefs Café and Capezzi's in that stretch..

Its ok kapt., I def. think southern dandy went way too far in this conversation. The reason why many blacks havent led any teams to superbowls is because of people like southern dandy. Up until the past 10 years or so black quarterbacks were rare on almost any roster, 6 teams began the year with a black QB as their starter and there are 32 teams in the league..many coaches have a certain system in their coaching, some calling for many scrambles while others do not. Donovan has went away from what really made him the eagles QB and thats scrambling in smart situations. Most teams with bad WRs tend to try to get scrambling qbs such as atlanta. SCRAMBLING QBS ARE NOT LIMITED TO BLACK QBS(Take matt jones for example who runs a 4.3 and is white and is the emergency qb for jax). What im trying to get at is, this racist comment SD made was quite wrong. Donovan made it to the SB last year, Vick made it to playoffs, daunte has been to the playoffs, with this said they have obviously had to alll overcome pressure situations to make it to the playoffs in the first place..The beauty of the NFL is that no matter what race, nationality, or color you may be, the nfl has a place for you if you have TALENT. Talent is the only thing that differs players from one another. You can say donovan doesnt have the talent of a manning but manning doesnt have the legs of donovan. So every player is made of diff. talents...anyways im trying to get my point that talent has nothing to do with color or race because we have great white WRS as we do black and same with QBs and all other positions, talent is soley based on WORK ETHIC..so the more work ethic you put in, the more you have a chance of suceeding in the nfl..peytons work ethic is sick along with ray lewis' and both of them have suceeded..daunte obviously slacks on work ethic with partying and what not, now look where this has landed him..back as a normal quarterback..i hope some of you understand my point.
