As a vikings fan, I found my jaw dropping and not even prepared to cheer most of the time when a nice play would happen for the vikings. It looked so crazy some of the things that were happening for the vikes that never happen to them on the road.
I think that game was a perfect example of a NYG team that, first of all overlooked their opponent and secondly played the game extremely unfocused. Many gamblers can learn a valuable lesson from that game, and no the lesson isn't that some games are fixed.
you hit the nail on the head....i have been to many giants vikings games....the heartbreaker when randall cunningham rallied the troops as well as the 41-0 blanking the giants put on the vikes......your assessment is dead on....i had the vikes as a top pick yesterday and i am a HUGE giants fan...i believe their is a progression when teams become good....too many people had the manning brothers facing each other in the super bowl...lets not forget eli is only around 51% completion...he has shown good leadership when behind, but looked dreadful yesterday...but lets be real...there is a huge learning curve as a new NFL qb...it is not a line straight up......it is 1 step forward 1/2 back and so forth......
it is easy when we are pissed to say fixed..but this was not even close to the spread...
Nice post Tony, It's nice that we agree. I am glad you won, not only that but you bet against your team and won, now that is sharp.
Have a good week my man.
my big play was actually a 7 pt tease minn +16 and over 39...also had over 20.5 for the 2nd half....which i sweated......big ticket...i have been down that road before....i always root for the giants.....but last time i checked they have yet to send me a check......my favorite all time player is fran tarkenton, so the vikes have always been #2 in my heart
