    TAKE:

    MLB: (139-96-2) ytd

Colorado @ Atlanta: The Braves are the hottest team in baseball winning 15 of their last 18 games. They also get Gary Sheffield (.353 average) back in the line-up. Colorado is a dismal 5-11 on the road this year and have lost 4 of their last 5 overall. The total in this game will ride on the suspect pitching of the Rockies. Aaron Cook has a (1-2) record and has given up 15 walks. Mike Hampton isn't the dominant force he once was and will give up some too. You should...

    Take: ATLANTA BRAVES (-180) (7*)
Take: Colorado/Atlanta OVER the total (9) runs (9*)

Chicago White Sox @ Oakland: The A's are the better team here and are a very respectable (12-3) @ home. The White Sox are only (5-7) on the road. The real story here is the pitching. Mark Mulder owns the Sox, (3-0, 2.73ERA) all-time against the A's. Mulder has only allowed 3 runs in his last 25 IP. Plus, Mulder just beat the Sox 4-1 on Wednesday in Chicago. Mark Buehrle on the other hand is (1-4) all-time against the A's, he is also (0-3 with a 4.36 ERA) in his last 4 outings. The odds makers think Buehrle is better than he is and it is keeping the line down. You should...

    TAKE: OAKLAND A's (-160) (4*)

Boston @ Kansas City: The Royals are 11-0 @ home and keep finding a way to win. The Red Sox have the better team and the better pitcher in this game. The Royals will be without Carlos Beltran again. The streak makes the home team a small play. The big key to this game is simple: Red Sox Bullpen = BAD, Kansas City Bullpen = BAD, The total is only 10 and will cover it late. You should...

    Take: KANSAS CITY (+140) (2*)
    Take: Boston/KansasCity OVER (10) runs (6*)

    One BIG play...

Milwaukee @ Chicago Cubs: Milwaukee got the better of the Cubs last night but Chicago has the better pitcher going tonight. Mark Prior (4-1) looks to become the NL's first 5 game winner. Prior boasts an ERA of only 1.67. The Brewers are only (6-10) on the road this year and are sending Wayne Franklin to the hill. Franklin (1-3 6.31 ERA) has walked 17 people and allowed more than a hit an inning thus far. I know the Cubs are a HUGE favorite but you need to lay the wood here and...

    Take: CHICAGO CUBS (-310) (9*)
