Because I am not a capping expert like yourself, so I just hop on the coattails of the experts. Avoiding the hypers of course.

Tony, I have followed Wayne's plays for a long time and think he is one of the most consistent capers on this site. Not to slight others by any means, as there are many great cappers on here. But I was responging to cheeseheads comment about the price one has to pay for "hyping" a play. I know Wayne has an insane record with his monster plays. He's hyped them, and told everyone to follow at their own risk. But should he receive grief for losing it? No. So why does cheesehead feel the need to take a shot at a poster? If his goal is to tell everyone that posters had a great week, then say it. If he's telling people to stay away from someone who's been controversial on here, that's lame.

I don't want to get into anything here..I apologize if I said something that affended you...
But all I'm telling you if someone has to hype their shit on this forum, they won't last to long. I've been here long enough to know the Mods and fellow cappers here don't put up with it..That's all !!!! Take it do leave it....But that's the way it is and will be....

i also think with time comes credibility....and i think that is part of it for guys like wayne.....they are the veterans who have hung it out there year after year without the need to brag or hype, since they as cappers know it can swing the other way as fast....I think for the most part...good cappers are humble....JMHO...feel free to follow who you want...but i agree with chuck that usually a guy who hypes does not last....it is like yelling....after a while it loses its effect....see how fast people label him a tout when a few lose....and they will lose

This constant need to keep everyone posting the same way, or bashing newbies, or saying don't put GOY on a post. We are all adults and can make our own decisions. The mods should just let nature take it's course with posters in my opinion. So my 325 posts might not mean much to you b/c I don't post plays, but I have seen enough on this board to think that everyone should just exchange info, well wishes, opinions on games and that's it. Telling someone how to post is horseshit. Goodnight and good luck!!

I agree 100%. But how does someone become a veteran then by posting? I would be willing to bet that there have been more newbies that came on here and quit after either getting bashed, told how to post, told what is hype and what isn't, been run out by the "clique", etc then there has been newbies that hyped, won or lost, asked for money and then left. So questions to you would be; is it ok for a veteran to hype plays since he's been here a long time, what is "hype", and where is the line between confidence and hype? I've seen many a veteran on here telling us how their play will win, 7 units, 10 units, etc. What is hype? Undocumented records are horseshit.

I understand what you are saying, but when the guy that posts with all that hype and alot of newbies throw $$$ that they don't have on a game and it loses...Well you know what happens.....I know for a fact that college kids that gamble and follow hype on a Big game or a game that is a lock and can't lose, gets sucked into putting $$$ that they might not have, but hope to win and make a big killing...What happens when it loses is that parents have to pay or these kids have to make payments to a bookie...It's plain and simple.....
It happened to me when I was in college and called 900 # and lost alot of $$$ and had to take a loan out to pay it. It's not fun and I for one don't like to see that happen...
I booked many years ago myself and had guys paying me part of their paychecks for years.....The other veterans here isn't going to let that happen to anyone.
And when the hype starts, it will get a lot of attention...

I agree with you also but do you really think a newbie hasn't gone into nearly every thread and read someone "hyping" the veteran cappers on this board? Or do you think every gambler, who knows the risks of gambling, should be "protected" if that's how they choose to get their plays by going to the most viewed posts? If that's what they want to do, then let them. Who's to say that aren't "chasing" and looking for the BIG winner? Do you think everyone steering them to go to the veteran cappers will make them go to just one? And everyone on here always says to follow one guy and stick with them. Don't cherry pick and hop. So what's a newbie to do? Go to RJ? Frank? Wayne? Chuck? etc? What if they do and that vet has a bad day? It's their choice is my point.

Don't you think that is the consequences sometimes of their actions? Look at the flip side of that scenario. Maybe the college kid will quit, seek help, who knows. Maybe they will need a bigger lesson. But to protect everyone, c'mon? Like saying people should be outside McD's letting the people going in know that fast food is fatty and bad for you. They will learn after getting fat, getting high blood pressure, or dying of a heart attack.
