It's not often that I post my plays in sports other than baseball. My first post this NFL season was last night. And here I am back the very next day, trying to figure out why people are playing the Colts laying 5 points AT NEW ENGLAND. While Indy has been impressive going 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS, littlewager is seeing the same thing I am. Indy is racking up the wins against some of the worst teams in the NFL. Houston, The 49ers, St. Louis, Tennessee, they don't get much worse than these four. New England has lost to Denver, San Diego and Carolina while beating Atlanta and Pittsburg. I don't see any team Indy has played who is better than any one of these five teams New England had to play. Jacksonville, is the only team Indy played with a winning record. Which one of the five is Jacksonville better than. All but two of the teams New England played had a winning record. The average Power Rating of all the teams Indy played is just 15.3, while the teams New England played had an average Power Rating of 25.1. Guys just remember, when you look at the stats for each of these two teams, that Indy racked up some good stats playing teams with 1-7 and 2-6 records, while New Englands stats are based in part, on 4 teams with a 6-2 record. I wonder what the stats and won/loss records would show if New England and Indy had played the other teams schedule.
Manning has gone 0-7 against New England at New England, while Brady has NEVER lost to Inday anywhere (6-0). I realize the Colts defense is much impoved from last year, but is that enough to bet them up to a now 5 point favorite away from home on Monday Night Football. I was wrong last night saying the wrong team was favored but I feel that way again tonight. The line should be New England -3, a full TD difference from what it is. Maybe I'm a slow learner but I already played New England +5.
BONUS PLAY. I also have a NBA play for tonight for a very simple reason. It's a true payback game since the LAST game these two played was against each other. The Clippers won that game by 1 point just 2 days ago at LA. Tonight is payback time for the TWolves at home. I just played Minnesota -5.
