I do this every time the Lakers feel they have to actually play to win. Whenever they feel even remotely threatened, they come out and CRUSH their opposition in their first road game.

Game 1 last series vs Minny...WON BY 19
Game 1 last year western conf finals...WON by a ton
Game 3 last year vs S.A. (tied at 1-1)...Won by 10
Game 3 2000 western conf finals vs Port (1-1)...Won and covered

This is NOT rocket science. Lakers lost ALL FOUR to Spurs in regular season. Game 1 is a chance for them to make a statement. Do YOU doubt them???

Not only this Lakers always do good in the game 1 of the series. Maybe because Phil Jackson has never lost a series in which they won the first game.

What I don't understand is lines are moving (slightly) towards spurs. That doesn't make any sense.

game 1: moved from spurs -2 to spurs -2.5
series line: moved from lakers -170 to -145

I like S.A. as well, I think the Lakers run is done.....but that's just my opinion.:D

the Celtics!!!!! and the lakers. i don't think duncan is surronded by very good talent. parker??? whatever, shaq v. duncan and kobe should be able to handle the rest. think i'll take both road teams tonight and hope for a split at worst!
