Why I Played Philly

Am I wrong thinking the wrong team is favored tonight. The last two years Philly was an 8.5 and 9.5 point favorite AT Washington. I realize TO was their go to guy, but is his absense worth a 12 point line difference.

I already played Philly both ATS and on the Money Line. My thinking is the Philly players are very happy, now that a cancer has been removed from their team and should come out tonight loose and ready to have fun. Mental stress is as bad as physical stress, which is why Philly has not played as well as last year.

I'm playing Philly based on something simple:

Washington being favored by 3 means that basically these two teams are even (the 3 coming from home field advantage). I know Philly's D hasn't played well lately, but I refuse to acknowledge that Washington and Philly are equal. I might end up eating my words, but I don't see how this Philly team is any different than the team of the past 4 years. I know McNabb is hurt, but I think he fights through it tonight to help Philly win the game.

i agree with you sandman...i picked them yoday as 1 of my underdog plays. i think mcnabb will have a good game, and getting 3 pts. helps on the play...good luck to us...

Well, I'm eating my words. The Eagles have 0 running game, the play calling is awful, and the defense couldn't get off the field on 3rd down. I hate to admit this, but I'm afraid in the NFC East, they're season is OVER

Come on now the season is far from over. They really didn't play that bad tonight. This defense is much better then they played tonight. They gave up some big plays on 3rd down I agree. We need to win on MNF in the LINC no ifs ands or buts!

Maybe you just overlooked the improvements that Washington as made in 4 years.
