They are only "overrated" because the Alabama team that is so highly ranked lost arguably their best player when they wiped out Fla a month ago...take away any team's number one offensive weapon and obviously you will not see the same team...

Alabama schedule is made years in advance. They have overcome an injury of their most feared playmaker and represent one of the best defenses in the country. And they have beat everyone that has lined up across from them. So how do you think they are "over-rated"
That being said no way they get through their remaining two regular season games and then the SEC championship.

BCS is a complete joke. How much more exciting would late December and January be if we had an 8 team plaoff with the likes of USC, Texas, Maimi, Penn State, Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, and Georgia. The bowl system is really only worth two things cash too the schools and gambling. I am sure non gamblers are really anticipating that New Orleans Bowl or GMAC Bowl

Diesel, I'd be happy with a 4 team 3 game playoff. They'd still be controversy about who the top 4 teams would be. At least the best team or two would be included.

What if there are no undefeated teams? It is possible that SC and Bama could lose and maybe even Texas...then the BCS gets real interesting.

I would like to see a 4-team playoff as well.
