guys i have never liked phil fulmer-that use to would get you killed here in tenn. but my blood bleeds orange-i love the vols//now 8 out of 10 people in tenn. want to axe the guy-something i said they should do 8 years ago//with tenn losing,it will get harder for fulmer to recruit great athletes and that has always been his strong suit//i think tenn has to pay 80 percent of his contract to get rid of him and i believe his extension is for 8 more years//the tenn football program will be in ruins before this clown leaves//ANYBODY ELSE WITH THOUGHTS OR ACCURATE DETAILS ON THIS SUBJECT APPRECIATED-IF IT TAKES TENN LOSING THE REST OF THEIR GAMES TO GET RID OF HOSS-SO BE IT!!

wayne i agree with you.I dont know ,but i really think he has lost his edge since winning the nc in 98.They have great athletes, but are not disciplined and are too worried about NFL and not playing for each other or the university that gave them a free ride.I have read comments on the UT boards that alot of the players, for some reason,do not like Ainge.I did not believe it,but after watching the offensive line when he's in there and some of the half ass play by the receivers i am beginning to wonder. If that is the case these mother fuckers need their scholly's yanked and play the ones who want to play. They dont have to be buddies outside of the field, but they should respect each other while on it.Ok im on my soapbox.Just my opinion.

he has 5-7 yrs left i cant remember exactly but the buy out is a little over 4 million.I doubt they will do it.But believe me bro i would love to see it and bring in Norm Chow ao maybe Jeff Tedford. My first choice would be Mike Shanahan from Denver, but that is jsut wishful thinking.I do agree he is a sinking ship.

There is always next year
I ain't looking at the world with orange colored glasses (although I have some bad ass Oakleys) but we have the O-line coming back, the backs, unfortunately most of the receivers, and quite a bit of the D coming back. We will have a new O coordinator and probably a new receiver coach and maybe a line coach (Jimmy Ray is hanging on by an eyelash). If Humpty will get someone to coach the Crompton kid then next year will look much better, if we can get past the Gators. It might take a few games for him to get comfortable to the speed of the SEC but he will put Ainge on the bench. Kid can run and throw and he is smart. A new O coach with a little easier game plan will open up the athletic aspect of this team and we will see a better product on Saturdays. Just my 2 cents.
By the way Wayne where do you live? He's baaaaack......

boy named sue i agree with you.We should be alright next year if we can some discipline and more of a team effort.I am really high on Crompton, like you said he is mobile and has a good arm.I am not so sure that if he didn't have surgery this year that he might have won the job.We definately need to get rid of Pat washington,he was a quarterback at Auburn, what does he know about receivers.Boy named sue where in k- town do you live,i am from there.

Boynamedsue,
You crack me up. Do you really think UT will be significantly better inn 2006? Be serious. They are losing a TON of seniors, and the D-line will be pretty new, no? I know most Vol fans (along with the rest of the SEC East) still don't give Mark Richt any credit for having a GREAT program. Regardless of what happens with the UT-Florida game, Georgia will simply re-load and have a MAJOR say in who wins the SEC in 2006. There will be 4 QB's in the running for the starting job, and 3 of the 4 will be High School All-Americans. Georgiaonly needs to beef up the interior D-line and add a little more depth on the O-line and they will once again win 9+ games (no Bama, Ark or LSU on the schedule). Let us BOTH also not forget who is coaching in Columbia, and Visor Boy will have a TON of talent returning in 2006.

Oh yeah. Guys, Fulmer isn't going anywhere. He will make some changes on his staff, but don't expect 10-1 or 11-0 every year, it ain't going to happen. There are too many good coaches in the SEC East now, and no single one is going to win it every year. If anything, someone is going to have to suffer a little. Who will it be? Certainly not the man who is 41-8 over the past 4 seasons. Also, Fulmer isn't given enough credit for what he has done which is quite better then any coach at UT the past 50 years.

Spiccoli I Knew You Would Have To Chime In Ut Has A Roster Full Of All Americans And You See Where They Are Now.the Vols Have A Ton Of Talent Coming Back Next Year And Have Most Of Their Tough Games At Home.georgia Will Struggle Breaking In A New Qb As Will Alabama.for That Matter The Vols Might Be Breaking In One Too.nobody Is Under Estamating The
Dogs.they Will Always Be Good As Long As Richt Is There.but I Think I Would Worry About Auburn Next Week.that Is An Ass Kicking Waiting For The Dogs And The Gators Go To Sec Game.

Oh, and I'm not busting on you, just think you guys should lay off your coach. And as far as breaking in a new QB, I like our head coach who seems to do a pretty damn good job of it (he's coached two Heisman winners you know). He won't play Joe Cox (redshirt) with Joe T. sitting there as a pretty decent backup. Joe didn't lose the game to Florida, Richt's conservative play-calling did.
