Gambling has Stressed me out...

Thanks Spark.. I believe i'm doing the right thing also.. I want to go out and dont want to worry about a game.. Usually when i play a game, i have to watch it.. But, by doing this, this will make me more relaxed and less stressed..

I know I preach a lot but it is only to help .. You need to make your bets and forget about them .. if they win great, if they lose it is no big deal .. If this is not so you are not doing things right ...

Doc i hear what your saying man. I am one of those guys that needs to know what is going on in my game. I wish i could place my bet and go out and do something without checking my phone for the score every 15 minutes. Latley i have been trying to not worry as much about my games but it's just the way i am. I took a nice looooooonnnggg break over baseball season and it felt great!! It was nice not having to worry about bets. There is nothing wrong with lowering your amounts, the only thing i dont like about doing that is with my luck i would go 5-0 betting $20 a game and then i would be mad for not betting my usual amount Try taking a couple weekes off if you are stressing that bad.

Doc been there ...The one thing this site has done for me is realize that I cant bet anywhwere near what some of these guys play ..you have to use a smart money management system one within your budget... what ever you chose to do you need to stick with it...Discipline is the key...I would try and follow all the good cappers on here and somedays one would roll and another would not I never seemed to get ahead then baseball started and I decided to only bet Waynes grand slams and Chucks Pods and not nearly for the thousands chuck is able to lay..For the first time in 20 years I had fun and made some cash betting baseball..meanwhile spark was showing a great profit along with a couple other cappers but I just stayed for better or worse with Wayne and Chuck and as your aware they did real well (thanks Wayne And Chuck).....then came football and I was not sure who to follow so I really havent done much...but The Nba is here And even if its for 10 or 20 bucks a game Frank and wayne will not bury you ...they will make that long season fun.....Good Luck

I used to bet a lot of games and betting a few hundred a game and was really stressed out now i only bet one game a day thats keeps me having a really bad day and its a lot less stressfull

Doc---all of us have been there, done that, got the T shirt.....It'll work out better for you if you simplify things.....same amt on each wager.....lower your wager amt....be selective....it'll come out in the long run---like wayne said---at the end of the day, if it's a profit, no matter hwo small---you beat the system......kapt

I also will tell you that i GUARANTEE the money that is talked about being wagered here is fabricated alot. I'm sure there are a ton of $20-$50 a game bettors here and there are alot that do $10-$20 as well. People feel like they look more important or there picks are more worthy when they say they bet hundreds or thousands on a game. Some do, but most are fabricating (IMO). When you have 5-10 wagers going at less money it's more fun because no one game will kill you and you have action everywhere........... and a (6-2) day can still bring you a bundle!!!

You are doing the right thing Doc, no doubt about it. I was in your situation a few times. Some of those times I was betting with scared money. At least you are betting what you can afford.

I stopped sports betting for a while. When I got my money situation right again, I decided to start betting again, cause it is just FUN to do. I joined this site 1 year ago and started betting $10 - $50 a game. I bet to win, but if I don't, it's no big deal to me. I like the action of it, plain and simple. Every now and then I'll step up the bets, but I always make sure I have the money to do it. I hardly ever use a local anymore, since they give you "credit." That's where a lot of people get in trouble; they over extend themselves.

Since I have started playing Hold 'Em, I have become a smarter gambler. I learned the value of money, and learned the importance of a bankroll.

My bets are always something I can cover with pocket cash. My minimum is 40 and my max is 100. I have weeks I win 300 or 400 and I have weeks I lose the same. My best bud is the book and if he were not I probably would not bet as much. I constantly hear about the bets he takes so I wager accordingly. Bet what you are comfortable with and don't worry about impressing forum junkies with wager amounts. GL to you.

i have gone through phases throughout my 20 yr gambling career....i would have to say my average bet is probably $150-250......For awhile it was a $500-$1000 note a game....most years i won.....but felt like i was treading water....took a few years off.....started back 3 years ago and i am comfortable from $100-$500 game.....If i bet more than that i am checking scores....this way i just bet and if the game is on fine...if not...no biggie!!!

THis has been the most stessful betting day for me since '98 or '99. Lost my first 4 games big 5* bets , then have won the last 7 straight with TCU, MIA, CFL, and VANDY pending. whew!

I feel you too brother.... I have a local who extends me credit, i've had my ass handed to me, unfortunately i'm a compulsive asshole with no discipline, take last week i was doing well, then had a crappy sunday then tried to make it up by going large on Monday with Pitt and... well you know how that went.
Maybe a blesssing in disguise.... my local guy got pinched, he's wearing a Martha Stewart designed ankle bracelet.... no more action through him for a while (he still wants what I owe him of course)... I'll be doing the 25-50 dollar thing through offshores for a while now... like you said for the fun of the action

Doc I hear ya man....I've definitley been down that road...I try to take a few days off and regroup.....my wagers are between 100 -200 and if i see a 10 star ill pull the 300 trigger!! But I usally follow one capper for NFL and College and stay put....just like someone said, if you win you win, if you lose ya lose.....personally when I lose a game I go to bed a rub one out...
