That is another great point.....I would love to be at the news confrence with those two coaches take the podium. If i was working for ESPN, i would ask both of the coaches there reasoning behind those last 2 minutes, and see what there answer would be

We lost because of the 2 pt safety. Pitt and the under was the right play. Can't win them all and as the Kaptain says "lock and load" for the next one.

                      No other reasoning....zero.

You've driven the ball all night long on pitt, and they couldn't stop you. The only way they did stop them was on turnovers.

So now it's under a minute you get the first down on 3rd and 5 and all you have to do is take a knee....but they keep running the ball.

                      Bush-League...

but hey...no sour grapes, as Chuck said, if the Pitt WR lee catches those two passes, it's an EASY cover I think....two straight false start penalties late in the 4th took em back too far for a FG, or an easier 2nd down play at the very least.

                      Hate it...but it happens.

No offense to JC but I hope Louisville gets their asses blown out soon.

sound like sour grapes to me. the cards cover at home. call it bush league if you want but they dont neal for anyone. THEY DIDNT RUN A TRICK PLAY TO SCORE. Tell wanny to have his team stop someone. If you all would have bet the cards, you would be singing the coaches praises. Im sorry for all who bet pitt, as i dont want to see anyone lose, but dont blame petrino. and rook i take no offense, when people lose they are usually not happy and i understand that

I had money on Pit +21 1/2..... I don't honestly think I can find another possible way to lose a game.

This is just a fucking joke
Homer you very rarely hear me bitch about a loss but that one really sucked .. to be in it all the way from the opening kick really sucked .. and for anyone to say ..Why did you bet Pitt?? come on get real ...

but take it from someone who lived through the Wanny days in Chicago ... this is no surprise what-so-ever .. I can not believe this guy is still coaching ...

I will agree with some of that...they just ran the ball...if they passed the ball downfield or ran some sort of trick play that would be another thing...but Pitt couldn't stop em. They just ran it down their throats...and both teams knew it.

Just can't get past the fact that there were zero reasons after getting that first down off of 3rd and 5 to keep running the ball with less then a minute and Pitt not using their time outs. Take a knee and show some class. If they were in the BCS hunt for a title game, that's a different story, but they're not.

But that's the breaks. Congrats JC on a good win for the Cards.

Sorry JC, I don't agree with you at all. I've seen many coaches who have class, take a knee in that situation. It's the classy thing to do and it shows good sportmanship. There was no need to punch it in and mock your opponent. To score with 40 seconds left meant nothing other than mocking them. Take a knee and show some class.... Just like Jack Nicklaus picking up Tony Jacklin's ball at the Ryder Cup which was considered the greastest sporting gesture ever. To score with 40 seconds left meant nothing other than mocking them.

You're right in one respect. Whatever side you're on you're going to have feelings about. But as far as the right thing to do, it was not....
