block im not under estimating the tenn defense i know they are good which i believe they are ranked 15,but they are better against the run than the pass and ND is just so good on offense that if tenn can't stop the passing game early that will only open up the running game more and then it becomes a long day for the defense.tenn does not like to play from behind so thats a big factor.to me this is no get rich game to wager on as far as im concerned its a game to wager money on just to have interest in watching.good luck buddy

i agree that it's not the get rich quick game of the century, but i think tennessee needs it more, i think notre dame is a public favorite (because they played close with usc, and have a good record having played a not so strong schedule) nobody out there thinks tennessee has any shot, and that's why i think they cover...don't know if i'll wager on it yet, but wanted to post an oposing view

I don't subscribe to the "need it more" when capping. Teams that need it more more often don't get the win. They need it more because they really aren't as good as the public percieves them.

That being said Tenn doesn't have to win the game for TD to hit his GUY. They can still lose but still cover.

                more reasons

First of all, as far as coaching goes, Fat Phil is 75-5 in November. Second, Notre Dame will not be able to sling the ball around the field on this secondary. The secondary has only given up 3 td catches all year, and they have faced 4 top 10 teams. The Defense has only given up 9 td's all year thats pretty impresive. Back to my point a great defense will shut down any offense. I really dont think Phil is the worst coach on this field. I think he has never lost more than 4 games in a single season since he has been at TN. Notre Dame will be wondering why they wrote such a big check.

just a note on this game-tennessee has played the toughest schedule in the country so far this year-dont look at their record as a true indication of how good they are----
                  UAB-not a bad team
                  at Florida-Top 10 team
at LSU-one of the toughest places to play
                  Miss
                  Georgia-Top 10 team
                  at Alabama-top 5 team-best Defense in country
South carolina-playing good ball this year

tdickson, ND isn't writing Tenn a check. These two played in Knoxville last season.

ND favored by only 8 makes this sure play on Tennessee. Riggs is out for the year and so is #1 defender Jason Allen (both taken 1st or 2nd round of NFL draft in April). UT may win this game straight up. I love how everyone trashes the SEC yet when it comes time for head-to-head, SEC always comes through. Adversity pays at the window, and FrankB03 is wrong, teams with their backs to the wall WITH TALENT always come through (see Florida last week).

tdickson, my thinking is if you like Tennessee......then put a small amount on the money line

they will win this game outright IMHO

If Eric Ainge is the starter for the game then wouldn't UN 49.5 or 50 also worth a look with the way TEN played Def. so far this year.
