Saturday NCAA Football - 11/5
These are my two plays for this Saturday's college football.....
NCAA Football
5 STAR: Texas (-28) OVER BAYLOR
Risking $550 to win $500

The Horns got their wakeup call last week at Oklahoma State and I look for them to steamroll the Bears this week. Baylor is having a respectable 4-4 season and has played pretty well this season, but they are out classed in this match up. The success of the Bears this season gives us some very good line value in this game as Texas is only a 28 point favorite, the lowest line for a Texas/Baylor game since 1999. The Horns have been very successful when playing in Waco where they are 3-0 against the spread in their last three trips. Texas has won those three games at Baylor by a combined score of 167-10 with two of those games being shutouts. The Baylor offense has only managed 14 points combined in their last two home games against Nebraska and Texas Tech and I don't see them doing much here against a very good Texas defense. I look for this one to get ugly, lay the points!
3 STAR: VIRGINIA TECH (-6.5) OVER Miami

As I have been all season, I am right back here on the Hokies. Blacksburg for a national tv night game, you have to love this atmosphere for the Hokies as they host the #5 ranked Hurricanes. I think Miami is over rated at #5 in the nation. The Canes are 6-1, but only 2-4-1 against the spread this season which helps support my over rated claim. This is the best team that the Canes have faced this season, they have not been tested since their first two games of the season at Florida State and Clemson. A lesser Hokies team has beaten a better Hurricanes team the last two seasons as well. Two years ago Tech hammered Miami 31-7 in Blacksburg and last year the Hokies won 16-10 at Miami. I look for Miami quarterback Kyle Wright to struggle and for the Hokie defense led by linebacker Vince Hall, Tech's leading tackler and top run-stopper, to shutdown Cane's running back Tyrone Moss. Tech needs to make a statement here if they hope to jump ahead of Texas and I think they win big here. If you have not been on the Tech bandwagon with me this season, there is still time to do so. Lay the points here!
