Idea!
To all the members that have been here for awhile, there are too many to name, from now on when someone like rainman or kuelkat comes in here touting an incrediable record, let them do it. Let them get a strong following with records that are undocumented that everyone wants to believe. Let them continue to tout themselves. Let them go on a nice run for a few days. We don't need to bash them anymore. Why should any of us have to play cyber nanny? I for one hate to see good people that have posted here for years get bashed by people that believe everything that someone posts. Services make millions a year because some people are just plain fucking stupid. So let them lose their cash. As soon as one of these guys asks for money, then throw them in the sevrvice section. Alot of guys on here don't appericate what some members are trying to do when outrageous statements are made. Some members NEED to believe there is someone out there that doesn't lose and can make them rich. So let him post. Let all these members that never post a thank you to anyone else have them. Let them truly think someone can hit 80% to 90%. I for one can not blindly follow someone the first three times they post. These records might be legit but how can you lay your money on something we have never seen? I can't. Some can. So let them. No sense in trying to help people that can't be help. JMO. I don't care what anyone claims and neither should anyone else...comments/beliefs should be based SOLELY on performance here at this site...the naysayers will say "yes but what about all the "rookies" that are here that will blindly follow this guy and go to the poorhouse...well guess what? Those rookies would now be 3-0! Now what about all the rookies that saw Chuck's post claiming he talked to someone "high up" in the Steeler organization that said the Steelers were going to blow out the Ravens...think a few newbies didn't take that "to the bank"? There is always room at a gambling forum for a capper that consistently wins, regardless of "how" he posts his plays..if you don't like his posts or style, simply don't open the thread and/or fade his picks...and for the record, he is absolutely RIGHT ON with his "capping" philosophy...if you side with the house (vegas), you will not win everytime, but I guarantee you will win more than you lose... -
You actually thought Chuck talked to someone. He posted that cause everyone (Rainman) come on here and make these rediculous claims. He was simply making fun of BS posters.Comment

I don't care whether he did or didn't nor do I care if the call was to Bill Cowher himself...the points I was making is (1) I am SURE some did and blindly followed and (2) the fact that the Steelers hate the Ravens and WANTED to kill them had little to do with what was actually going to happen on the field...Last edited by ezpickin; 11-01-2005, 08:54 AM.Comment

I think new posters that come in guns ablazin' and bragging their ass off about being the world's best handicapper should immediately be pistol whipped. When they come to, you explain to them that their record here is 0-0, and that no one gives a fat fuzzy rat's ass what their amazing record was before then.Comment

I agree with most of your post. However, those same rookies that are 3-0, are only 3-0 for the short run. The fear around here by many vets, and you yourself have been here awhile, is that we see this alll the time. Someone comes in here touting an insane record, that isn't documented and somehow ends up losing folks a lot of money or wins a few and asks for money. My point is that everytime one of the Mods or a vet on here tries to shed some light about these posts, they get bashed by some poster with 3 posts. So from now on, I am sayin we should just say "BEWARE" or "FOLLOW AT YOUR RISK" if we think the guy is shady. Then let the blind followers go. That is all. I also realize that there are plenty of regular posters on here that blindly follow as well. Let people hang themselves. I wish I could...one thing I've realized is that there are those whose have no interest in learning how to fish, they just want free fish.
