Your friend is in denial. He is angry and takes it out on you and anybody that "doesn't understand". Just remind him that if he keeps doing what he's doing - he will keep getting what he is getting. I was this guy - and some others on this site was this guy. His education comes in saying "I told ya so" when this guy Lane hits for a couple of days. Thats when he mortgages the farm and falls hard. Thats what they mean by the school of hard knocks.

Just remind him you will still be his friend- no matter what his decision is or what he chooses to do. No loans.

When I took a month off of betting practically every day for a year- I felt quite a move back to reality. If you are not connected to reality - and money is reality- then help maybe needed. (people use coupons and shop for the cheapest prices, tear bananas in half to save money- and yet we may throw hundreds of dollars away a night).

I did this when I was a member of mark price's bullshit wiseguys sportsexchange... and it worked, his service plays are to be faded, faded, faded. this is what led me to start thinking going against what people were on... this is what led me to the fades by the wonderful and mysterious ripple... this is what led me to finally make money and rely on myself (occasionally) and the fine and wonderful people here at BC.

I'm thinking Chess picks are not where it's at. You might as well put your money on the roulette table.

Interesting Jake/Watchtower- Kim- Ask your friend for the plays and post the opposite as your pick. We will play-win and he will learn a lesson, hopefully. I'm game.

ur friend sounds like me couple years back thankfully i got out before even more damage was done, and I quit for a long time, now just bettin football and basketball really. Services really do rip you off tell you friend take some time off and see how he feels without gambling and unsubscribe from all these jokers emails. Maybe he can start up later on slowly later on and bet very little, thats kinda what i'm doin. gl man

He wont tell me who B.Lane picked. He knows if I found out that he bought services pick, I'll yell at him. The only reason how I know is because his roomate, a friend of mine(also) tells me. His (roommate) tried stopping him too.

Like you said, spearit, he's in denial. His denial is gonna cost him everything. He's smart guy, he went to college with me, got a degree. Has a good job, but he's head is harder than fucken concrete.

RJ, this shit makes me sick too. I'm his friend, how do you think I feel?

Bottom line, the reason why I feel so bad is b/c I feel like I got him into this. But I NEVER TOLD HIM TO BUY PICKS. I told him about this site and how I made some loot and he wanted to follow along.

Thanks for all your help guys. Its really thoughtful, when I havent met any one of you, yet, you guys treat me like a family member. No bullshit. Thanks alot.

Turning him onto the site- is no crime- his compulsive-obscessive disorder is a treatable problem. He may show signs of bi-polar behavior. That is how the medical world interprets it. It can be hereditary- you didn't know. Kim - you need to resolve any guilt feelings - it doesn't serve you or him in any manner. Your caring attitude is noble - but your main point you want to get across- is "hey dude -I know you will figure out what gambling is in time- I just hope it doesn't totally consume you." Meanwhile, I will make fun small bets but nothing large. Can't afford the losses."
