  • Question about Bar parlay cards for anyone!

I have some questions about parlay cards, the ones you can pick up at the bars. l have a couple of friends that own bars and would like to have some cards there to attract more customers. I told them that I know some people that know something about this (well all of you guys) and would look into it.

My question is where is some good parlay card software. What is the breakdown % between the take of the bar and the person doing the cards? How much should you set aside for a bankroll for cards in case some people start hitting them?

Any other information would be great. If any of you are doing them now or did them in the past I would like to hear how you run this business and what can I expect to bring in if I have 3 bars offering them. Also what about legal purposes, does it all fall on the bar or me?

Thanks and looking forward to reading your responses/stories!!!

You can make your own (for news information only, of course) with the "Parlay It" software. You can get it here:

Thanks guys.....can you direct SustainDan to give his input on them. I don't want to scam anyone on these but I wouldn't mind a bit extra money coming in every week.

I think that I wouldn't have a problem paying a fine if I am taking home a couple of g's a month doing this.

I know that getting pinched is a possibility but there has to be some risk for big rewards.

is your buddy still doing them? Who backed him for his bankroll or what did he start with for a bank?

sorry it took so long to respond to your question...i fell asleep last night...no he does not still run them...he started with a 15k bankroll, he inherited some cash...he had a max win on a card of 2k...on roughly 2500 cards he was netting about 7500 per month...hope this helps...i know most of my numbers r right cause i use to help count cards and cash...

7500 sounds like a small take on 2500 cards? Did he limit the amount bet on the cards? On that many cards I would have to say that the average bet is about $20 which would be a $50,000 dollar take with no winners. So what % of the cards hit on their parlay?

Sorry Buddy...i Knew As I Was Typing I Had Something Wrong...the Money Is Right But The Cards Were 2500 Per Month Not Week...i Just Called Him...told Me If You Live In A Real City This Is Like Finding Gold But Here Where We Live The Largest Town In 4 Counties Is Around 6,000 People...most Everything Is Small Communities Of 400-1500 People...once Word Got Out It Was Only About A Year And A Half After He Started Running Them Before He Got Popped...small Town Pa Your Neighbors Hate To See You Succeed Especially If You Inherit It Or Do It Illegally....hope That Cleared Things Up A Little...remember That Was 7500 Profit On 2500 Card Per Month Not Week

                              Cards

I run cards for a local book. He gives 25% comission on cards that you turn in. I only turn in $200 a week , so the $50 comission pays for my cards for the week. His cards you may play $1 -$100 max per card. Here are the odds:

                              3 Teams 6-1
                              4 Teams 11-1
                              5 Teams 16-1
                              6 Teams 25-1
                              7 Teams 40-1
                              8 Teams 60-1
                              9 Teams 90-1
                              9 out of 10 25-1
                              10 Teams 175-1
                              11 out of 12 50-1
                              12 Teams 300-1
