What’s up with Mike Holmgren covering his face with a laminated piece of paper every time he talks to his crew from the sidelines ? … a grown man acting like a little wash woman … he’s what we call in Italian a MALA FIGURA or one who makes a bad showing in the public’s eye … Hey coach if you’re afraid that the other team is reading your lips you needn’t worry …. get over yourself and stop acting like a Fruitcake … you’re not that good.
As it turned out Jeff Garcia did play for Detroit last week and The Lions won … Say goodbye, Joey and don’t bother trying out for The CFL either … the players are much too rough and tumble for you and so is the weather and you’ll get eaten alive .
Cincinnati has won all of their games against losing teams and lost their games to winning teams ... All week long all I'm hearing is how they will rout The Pack today .... Good !!! ... my money is on Green Bay ... an over the hill Brett Favre can take upstart Carson Palmer anytime.
Tomorrow night’s game between Pittsburgh and Baltimore should be a bruiser … I wonder what the Over / Under is on Anthony Wright Concussions … 3 ½ seems righteous ... despite Pittsburgh’s Monday night history the feeling is that Baltimore will surprise most people and keep it close .
Romeo Crennel is over rated … people just like saying his name because it feels so good when pronouncing it .
Wondering how Dallas will play today after losing a game they most definitely should have won vs. Seattle.
Hey Mike …. Mike Tice … change your T Shirt … or I’ll have to grab you up and take you shopping … but I’ll insist that I drive … I will not have you behind the wheel of anything.
I keep preaching 2 things … 1) how lines are getting sharper and sharper as the football season progresses and 2) the importance of having multiple Outs to wager with … These 2 factors create fantastic middling opportunities especially in the NFL and once in a while in The NCAA. … Last Saturday one of my top plays was North Carolina at Pick over Virginia which I played earlier in the week . Imagine how my face lit up as soon as I heard that N O R T H C O A S T came with The Tarheels as a 5 * … So I waited as long as I could for a 2 ½ and bought back Virginia for half my UNC wager at +3 … BINGO !!!! Thank you Neil … Thank you N O R T H C O A S T . … On Sunday I made a play on Philly –3 and San Diego +4 , both sides the same amount … ( The UNDER was a top total for me so I wound up siding the game and winning the total … a great 2 way score … Look for Middling and Siding opportunities each week from now on through the rest of the season … there’s lots of extra gravy for you if you pay enough attention to it .
And Finally … for selfish reasons I ‘m rooting for New England to struggle and look very ordinary vs. Buff tonight … I want Everyone to think that The Colts have a good chance to beat The Pats next week in Foxboro … they don’t !!! … Indy has played the easiest schedule to date , Tony Dungy has been, is , and hopefully will continue to be Bill Bellichek’s Bitch , and I feel strongly that New England will prevail. I’m curious to see the line as it jumps out tonight …. I’m thinking Indy will be installed as a 3 point fave but all my friends disagree. If the game jumps out Pick ‘em my plan is to play Indy big on the first flash and then wait while the public bets them with 2 fists , then come back late next week with a huge, HUGE play on The Patriots at +3 for an Indy Pick ‘Em / Patriot +3 situation with a double play on New England.
Last week my report was 1-2 with sides and 3-0 with totals for a 4-2 day overall.
As we go into week 8 The sides are at 19-17 and totals are 17-10 … 36-27 overall .

I doubt if 10% of all The NY Giants ever met the man … A long time ago when I was learning about the birds and the bees of wagering a wise and great man told me that when it comes to these “sentimental “ situations , either pass the game or go the other way … it was good advice. All week long in the NY newspapers the press kept pounding us with The Giants and how they will be primed for The Skins ... the truth is that reporters are trying to keep their jobs while leading the betting public down the road to probable defeat once again ... While Mara was one of the most important men in the history of The NFL I never met him and he never met me.
Also ... Jacksonville at St. Louis
I origionally liked The Jags but all I've heard and seen are Jack opinions for today's game like The Rams will not even show up ... Be careful ... I smell another "Service Burial " today.
Monday Night : I rarely get involved with MNFB but I kinda like The Ravens and The Under
