2* Cowboys -9
This is a strong play. Dallas has been playing much better than its 4-3 record would indicate and its defense has been stifling. Only a bizarre interception return last week in Seattle and the meltdown against Washington keeps this team from being 6-1. In the last three weeks the Cowboys have given up only 36 points to powerful offenses from the Giants, Eagles and Seahawks and some of those points were scored by the other defense. They return home desperately needing a win in the NFC East, the only good division in that conference. Arizona isn't a very good team and won't be able to score much. Dallas outgained Seattle by quite a bit last week and earlier in the month crushed the Eagles. Cowboys 28-3.
1* Bengals -9
AFC at home has been dominant ATS vs NFC for more than a year. Packers are simply decimated. Ahman Green joins Javon Walker in being out for the year and they're down to their number three running back. Ferguson is out at WR, leaving the awful Chatman as a starter. Brett Favre has nothing to work with. Bengals bounce back from beating at hands of Steelers.
1* Lions -2 1/2 (-120)
Detroit, believe it or not, is 3-3 and is at home vs the atrocious Bears offense. True, the Bears defense is sensational but the Lions should be able to score 16. That'll be enough, particularly if you buy the hook.
Opinions only: KC, Buffalo, Washington
