I've spotted Two 8 unit GRAND SALAMIS TODAY !
This game goes off early and hope you that sleep in don't miss this.
The Illini have been outscored by an average of 49-11 in their last 4 games, all pointspread losses, as Ron Zook is playing lots of freshmen in an effort to build for the future.
Wisonsin on the other hand have gotten back some people they lost earlier in the season on the defensive side of the ball.
Starting jr. MLB Mark Zalewski (48 tackles this year) hurt his knee in the first quarter of last week's 31-20 home win over Purdue and is questionable at Illinois. Jr. FS Roderick Rogers continued to play vs. the Boilermakers, though he hurt his shoulder after returning an interception 84 yards for a TD in the third quarter. Banged-up Badger DL was much healthier, however. Soph DT Justin Ostrowski (6-5, 304), a projected starter in the preseason, saw his first action of the campaign after fracturing his kneecap during August camp. And DEs jr. Joe Monty & soph Kurt Ware, who had each been struggling to overcome a knee problems, were also able to play last week.
The Badgers who have given up a ton of points in earlier games will shut down this Illinois team. Laying the 21 points here shouldn't be a problem as the defense has stiffen up and won't be giving up points easy like they have prior to the return of a few experienced players.
Pick here-
WISCONSIN - 21.0 ( 8 UNITS )
Believe it or not........UCLA is 0 - 5 S/U in Northern California since 2000.
They have not won a single game in the Bay Area. Why should things change now.....I don't see it changing as i for myself have seen a few of those games. I can't explain as to why the Bruins self destruct in the Bay Area.
But i believe Stanford gets the outright win here as Walt Harris has finally gotten the Cardinal believing in his philosophy. After the Cardinals lost to Div 1A team in Davis this team has slowly turn the corner and won 3 in a row. At tough Washington St. @ Arizona and last weeks big home win aganist Arizona St. ( the score doesn't indicate how much of a blow out that game was. )
Stanford is 7 - 10 S/U, 11 - 4 - 2 ATS since 1988, 10 - 5 ATS home dog.
My Pick:
[b]STANFORD + 8 ( 8 UNITS )
OTHER GAMES OF INTEREST:
4 UNIT GAMES:
MIAMI-OHIO - 21.5
EAST CAROLINA - 2.0
NAVY + 6.0
NORTH CAROLINA + 20.5
TEXAS TECH - 12.5 ( NO TEXAS HANG OVER HERE GREAT VALUE HERE )
I'll come back on later in the with some afternoon and evening games...
Good Luck with the Grand Salami's !!
