  • some info on New Mex/Colo St

Lobos primed for another late-season charge: New Mexico has been a strong finisher each of the last four years and is poised to make a postseason bowl game for the fourth year in a row. The Lobos are 18-6 SU and 19-5 ATS combined the final six games each year from 2001-2004 and begin that critical stretch by hosting Colorado State. New Mexico can become bowl eligible and move a half game ahead of the Rams for second place in the conference with a victory.

Border War takes toll on Rams: Colorado State got a 39-31 win over Wyoming last week in their annual "Border War" affair, but it didn't come without a cost. The Rams lost several players to injuries, including defensive linemen Shawn McGoveran and Terrance Carter, safety Lukas Davis, fullback Tristan Walker and linebacker Jahmal Hall. Davis, Walker and Carter are listed as questionable on the injury report while McGoveran and Hall are out. In fact, Hall re-injured his knee and is out for the year.

Moore looking to run over Colorado State again: New Mexico RB DonTrell Moore has ran for 577 yards against the Rams combined over the last three seasons and is the leading rusher in the Mountain West, averaging 121 yards per game. That's bad news for a Colorado State defense battling injuries and giving up 198.4 rushing yards per game. Moore has also scored 10 touchdowns to make up for New Mexico's 105th-ranked passing game that has totaled just 13 TDs through the air.

I just played Moore OVER 143 rushing yards. This seems so easy against CSU's defense, it's scary. He only needs to rush for 55 yards LESS than CSU gives up each game to cover. As long as he dosen't get hurt he should cover this.
