We have developed a Power Rating System for The NFL and will be formatted much like Bob Dunkel’s Index. It’s a detailed numerical system which was taking me 30 minutes to cap each game … and 7-8 hours for the entire card … until Frankie B constructed a program which yields us the identical conclusions in 15 minutes.
It’s different than 3 Wise Men Baseball where outside services and factors are needed . For The NFL it’s strictly all ours and independent from anyone else.
It’s similar to Dunkel in that it gets stronger as the weeks go by because we have more data to work with.
It will be used AFTER Week 5 of each season … to start from week one is just too premature.
It predicts only sides , not totals.
Although the results have been quite favorable so far we’re going to use this weekend as another trial period and we will start posting plays next weekend ( Nov 6-7 ... Week 9 )
Hopefully it will help our friends in the same manner as our baseball reports.
