  • Astro's Or the Cards?

Is it just me, or could the Cards have made this a much better series? The Cards had the bats and pitching to compete with the Sox. But I guess we'll never know. 4 and out, and couldn't even show up at home. Their numbers on base were just pathetic.....

I don't know. The Chisox got really got. Their pitching, defense and timely hitting was great.

It hard to say;White Sox appeared to be on a mission;my god they won their last 7 or 8 regular season games(including some meaningless ones for them against Cleveland) and then 11 of 12 in the playoffs;hats off to them-they deserve to win the championship for this season.
ps St. Louis could not have done any worse than they did against the Red Sox.

I agree Frank, the Sox got hot at the right time. But if you were the Sox pitching staff, which lineup would have you more intimidated? From top to bottom, the Cards had some great hitting. The Asto's hitters stink. I think the Cards could have at least taken this to 6 or 7 games......

There's no doubt the Sox pitchers would rather face the Astros.

No offense to Houston as they had a great run, but they had better improve that offense over the offseason; otherwise this year will be regarded as a fluke and they will be an also ran next season.

They will be an also ran....Clemens is old, Pettitte old and the killer Bee's will need walking canes and Viagra. I don't think Clemens will be there next year either.....
