  • as promised...chess picks!!!! from your dear friend BigJake

Alright guys, I have spent the last three days pouring over these, and I think I've got some good ones. I have write ups for each one of these (or a rationale if you have questions), but basically I've chosen the following based on record, international rating. previous matchups and style, and in general if they're a joker or not (i.e. Lee vs Saurez). I'm taking the serious players over the jokers in several cases (except for Eisen vs. Rouleau, which is joker vs joker). Some were too tough to call. Thanks to everyone on this sight, I love you all...

    Boston Blitz –300 3 to win 1
    Josh Friedel -180 1.8 to win 1
    Elvin Wilson -108 1.08 to win 1
    Boris Baczynskyj – 254 2.54 to win 1

    Mechanics –110 2.2 units to win 1
    Vinay Bhat +200 1 to Win 2
    Pruess +102 1.02 to win 1
    Lee risking –241 2.41 to win 1

    Charbonneau +196 1 to Win 1.96
    Gregory Braylovsky +144 1.00 to Win 1.44
    Jenn Shahade -139 1.39 to Win 1.00
    Lewis Eisen +112 2.00 to Win 2.24

jake, where do you follow the matches at or bet on them for that matter? the only matches i really see are when they involve kasparov or someone huge.

              thanks...

hey serious fan, you may find these at pinnaclesports.com my friend (the only place I think that has them). Always bet on Kasparov, he's as good as they come. As for following the matches, you can, if you want to punish a child for misbehavior, make him watch the matches online. I get records and stats from various sources... but basically here

Due to confusion over what I was editing, I messed up the above joke. My apologies if it was confusing.

              thanks guys!

Matches are tonight I believe. Usually takes awhile for results to be posted on the uschessleague website, let alone be payed out on pinnacle.
