  • #1 pick in the NFL draft

I guess first of all, who do you guys think will get the number 1pick? My guess is SF or Houston. I would hope its SF then they can get Reggie Bush. But if Houston gets it, they gonna have to pick and O linemen (I would hope), but is there an O'linemen thats worthy of a #1 pick?

SF is so done...rebuilding stage, young, no talent..I quit

no way on Earth that Houston, if they get the pick take an O lineman. they would trade out of the pick first.

49ers need a lot of help. They will get the #1 pick. They should trade down. The #1 pick will be much more vaulable this year than last because of Bush and Leinert (spelling?)

49ers have to take Bush if he is there IMO. The guy can do so much as a PR, KR, WR, and RB. Play him with Gore and I think you have some very nice skill players with WR Lloyd and QB Smith. They need O line help but who doesn't. Plus they can dangle Kevan Barlow as trade bait, hopefully get a 4th or 5th rounder for him.

I think the Niners get the top pick.

Bush and Lienhart probably go 1 & 2

Matt Leinart goes #1, even if a trade occurs. I hear that if Vince Young comes out #2 and I bet Brady Quinn would be up there as well!

I respectfully disagree-- the 49ers have no depth. You could give them LT (either one) and they still are a bottom feeder. They need to trade down.

I can't see the Niners drafting a QB. They drafted Smith in the last draft.

The #1 pick might come down to the final game of the season on New Years Day.

                  Niners @ home vs. Houston

I can't see the 49ers winning any other games besides their season finale.

The only games I can see Houston having a chance of winning is this Sunday at home vs Cleveland and at home vs Arizona.

If they lose this Sunday there's a good possibility they'll be winless going in their 12/18 game vs Arizona.

i dont think the niners draft a QB either. What I meant to say was that if they end up with the first pick they will trade down and draft RBush cos Leinart would end up going #1 to whoever they made the trade with.

I dont think Leinhart will go to houston. Carr is not that bad, its just he has no time what so ever. Shit, I dont think Peyton can do anything with that team. Before he (Carr) finishes a 3 step drop he's already sacked.

Today, QB needs to be mobile more than ever. Leinhart is a pocket presence passer (like P.Manning, Braday, etc). (Both of whom I've listed have a tremendous O-line) B/C the reality of the draft, Leinhart will go to a team most likely that has a very weak O-line. On top of that, I dont think Leinhart has the arm strength to do as well as he did in college. When he has to force that ball into a tight slant, DB's and LB's are too fast in the NFL.

And I agree that SF should trade whichever way possible to get Bush. SF neeeds like 3 more years to be a good team again.

I also agree that Houston will not pick an O-linemen as #1 pick. I have no idea how long it'll take houston. They are going to suck for a very long time. Poor team

With all this talk about USC players what about my boy, RB Deangelo Wiliams from Memphis. He's a fucken monster!

david carr's days in texas are numbered ... the texans will be blown up with a whole new staff comming in that will look to put their stamp on the team... they will take leinart and start all over with a whole new coaching staff...i could see carr being dealt to the jets , browns , ravens , dolphins or bears....not sure reggie bush is a between the tackles every down back in the nfl ??? i see him being used alot like westbrook is used in philly... however , i think there is no way the niners will pass up on a much needed gamebreaker and will take him second...

I haven't watched any Houston games. I can't see them giving up on Carr so quickly. Not if they can get Bush.

Even with Bush, what they need is offensive line and a WR opposite of Andre Johnson
