My parents gave me an update...my car got hit by someones gutter, my fathers car had his windshield smashed by a tree, our front door the locks blew off so my dad had to tie a rope aroound the knobs, some roof came off, air cond. vent blew. major flooding..he said thats the minor damage theres much exstensive damage on the streets and stuff.

I just got off the phone with Doc ... Everything is good except no power ... No damage to his house but some surrounding houses got damage ... Winds down to 50-60 MPH ... He described it almost like Dan did in his post ...

Just talked to my brother down in West Palm. Got hit pretty hard plenty of damage to trees,cars and buildings. He also said the street lights were basically all down on the ground. He's ok so all is good.

Some guy stole his parking spot today and got instant karma-his car got ravaged by flying bricks!!!!!

The Ft Lauderdale/West Palm area got hit pretty hard. The were expecting the storm to be a Cat 2 and then downgrades to a Cat 1. It moved so fast through Florida it remained a Cat 3.
