  • North Texas Team Total Is What???

North Texas is a 44-pt dog at LSU and the Total is 48. That makes NT's Team Total 2.0 or 2.5. I like the UNDER...

Why do you like the under? I recall a game several weeks ago involving Florida State(or maybe Miami-I can't recall) against some weak team and a mysteriously low over/under.
It was a no brainer for me;I played the over and it sailed over easily.
Remember in a game like this, when game is out of reac(which will be early),and there will plenty of chances for North Texas and for that matter LSU to push across a few touchdowns.
You might be right, but if you like the UNDER, you have to take N. Texas also.
ps If I had to make a choice as to taking the UNDER or N. Texas, I would take. N. Texas.

The way I see it, North Texas will get totally annihilated.
The only thing they can do is run the ball, and they won't do it against LSU, their line is weak.
I just don't see how LSU does not cover the total themselves.

        Or...

LSu scores like 30 in the 1h , puts in the scrubs, and the 2 teams combine to score like 10 points for the rest of the game.

With that being said I think the 1h total and LSu 1h is the way to go.

Unless they get a turnover deep in LSU territory I don't see N Texas scoring.

Come on Frank-in 4th quarter if not earlier when game is out of reach and subs are in there, anything can happen. I bet they score from 7-10 points.

              savage,

I was being sarcastic. I mean, 2.5?????? But the funny thing is that NORTH TEXAS really is THAT BAD OFFENSIVELY. Were is their running game????? Their QB stinks.

I do not see how North Texas will stay within 44 points of LSU. They won't score, and LSU needs to show up this week as far as getting back on track FUNDAMENTALLY.

They almost lost 2 weeks ago due to excessive turnovers, and then almost lost again last week (OT) because their defense didn't show up.

They gotta' consider themselves somewhat lucky to have not lost at least one of those games. You watch. They will use this as a game to EXECUTE before their other bye week (that is, a game against Applachian St) and then finishing out against SEC Opponents.

              North Texas 0
              LSU 59

Sorry Dave-I must be dumb to believe that you meant it.
I can easily see a rout but I will say something like 55-7, as I think they will somehow score on LSU's 4th string late in the game.
ps Is there really even an over/under on this game? I couldn't find any.

Savage, I don't think N. Texas can score off LSU 3rd stringers.

Do you think after the emotional game with Auburn that they will pour it on especially a team they know that they should blow out? I know that they will win but to cover 44, not sure about that.

I don't know what I would rather do least-lay 44 points in a game like this or play an over in a game where the total is over 70.
I say yuk in either case;there must be better bets.
In this case can you imagine playing LSU giving 44. and the final score is 53-10 and you still LOSE your bet?

I say LSU 52-0.........First string will bring it up to 35-42 to 0----2nd string is 2-3 TDs better than N Texas.........

N Texas may have a total of 160 yds in the whole game.....2nd teamers come in and play hard---they want to impress the coaching staff....LSU coaching will probably mitigate passing in the 2nd half, but LSU running backs are lightning fast....IMO---kapt

I read in the newspaper that LSU scout team should beat N. Texas. As far as the LSU second team QB and running backs were all
5***** blue chippers. Matt Flynn barely lost the stating job to J. Russell and Justin Vincent was the MVP at running back for LSU National Championship in 2003. I think it will be on the coaches to decide to run up the scores or not.

Not sure if I'm playing it or not...still 44 @ Olympic. LSU should put up 50+ and allow a FG, or at the most a TD. I'm thinking high 50's or low 60's for LSU...

According to the schedule i got, North Texas is suppose to play UL-Monroe this week and LSU has a bye. But i see that the rescheduled game from sept got moved to this weekend. So when is the N. Texas/ UL-Monroe game gonna be? That would be an easier bet on UL-Monroe.
                              Good Luck to everyone
