The network will say anything to get you to watch it;I don't know what is shorter, the segment on his gambling or the length of time it takes to pull the lever on a slot machine.

I was very disappointed in that interview.

He has a "cant lose" mentality. He thinks he is better than everyone.
He has not one ounce of humbleness in him.

Shaq is 10x the person and is humble and a way better role model.

Jordan was given the world, and still wanted more. He could have accomplished alot, helped people..
Instead, he smokes cigars, plays 56 holes of golf everyday.

Great person to look up to.

I've read a lot of ignorant statements in my life, but this one takes the cake.

Was he perfect? No...no one is.

You have no clue what kind of man he is. NONE.

Not a fantastic interview....I'll say that, but no reason to crucify him because he made mistakes.

There is know doubt to me that MJ was the BEST player that I have ever seen play in any sport[not counting his baseball time]. Better than the best QB, RB, Baseball player you can name. The only one who comes close to him IMO is the Great one, Wayne Gretzky. MJ brought it EVERY NIGHT!!!

BTW he was seen in Tampa a few weeks ago at the Hard Rock casino after the Roy Jones jr. fight.

Im not crucifying him.. WOW that is a pretty bold statement. But for a minority to have such power in America is pretty rare. He could have really helped his own people, but he wasnt that interested in social issues in any capacity. That was his choice, and I think that is sad.

He was a hell of a player though. Cant dog him for that.

It's not a question of enough, pal. It's a zero sum game, somebody wins, somebody loses. Money itself isn't lost or made, it's simply transferred from one perception to another.

Ok, but my next question would be WHY Michael Jordan? What did he do to have that stigma put on him that he HAD to help his own people, or take a political stand etc. It's the same thing with Tiger Woods, and I just don't get it.

They have ZERO control over what happens politically or socially.

And for those to say that he didn't do his part for his community that is comical. He did more for his community and the city of Chicago then any other sports figure in Chicago did EVER.

That's what made him great. You don't think that all great athletes think they are better than others? I do.

Shaq might be the better person.

Jordan is 100x a better basketball player than Shaq. You can't mention them in the same sentence when it comes to basketball.

Thank GOD some sense of normalcy hits this thread.

                            Thank you Frank.

I agree. IMO Gretzky was as great in hockey as MJ was in basketball.

He has no moral obligation to "help his own people". Don't you think he believed that "his own people" should help themselves?

"Help his own people"? What kind of racist comment is that?

Should blacks only help blacks? Should whites only help whites?
