  • Thursday baseball..........

Wednesday was a frustrating 1-2 (-8 units). The Rockies knocked Dempster out in the second inning, but still lost the game. These are my plays for Thursday........

3 STAR: ST. LOUIS (-$145) Vs. New York
    (Brett Tomko vs. Steve Trachsel)

3 STAR: COLORADO (-$160) Vs. Cincinnati
    (Nelson Cruz vs. Jeff Austin)

    3 STAR: Atlanta (+$100) @ HOUSTON
    (Shane Reynolds vs. Jeriome Robertson)

    Good luck,

Yesterday was an upside down day in baseball. Like your card today. Was wondering what you thought about the total in the Hou game? I am prob going fairly big on the over but was wondering if you based your Atl play on Reynolds pitching well. Could tone my wager down a little if you see Reynolds throwing a gem. Thanks for the time. Respect your capping.

Your PM doesn't work? Ask BC why..... it should.

              MyAddidas....

That is a tough call on the over. I usually don't bet totals, but I would have to lean that way. I do think that Reynolds will pitch well. I also think (and this is my opinion, I have NOTHING to back this up) that the Astros will have a tough time getting up for this game. This is not a situation where a team has something to prove against a former teammate. Living here in Houston, I can tell you that the Astros players were extremly unhappy when Reynolds was released and this might be one of those games where Reynolds pitches a gem as a "I told you so" game. I do think that the Astros will some off of him and I do think the Roberston will get hammered. I think this total is going to fall right around that 10.5 number.

              Hope this helps,

              Good luck,

                MyAddidas....

Here are a few more stats on the Houston/Atlanta game....

The over is 13-5-1 in the past 19 meetings.
The Braves are 5-1 vs lefties this season, averaging over 6 runs per game.
Robertson has struggled in his last 3 starts posting a 8.31 ERA.

                Good luck,
                John

Thanks. I think I will stick w/the over but will play it smaller than originally. GL tonite.
