    A little bit of info for the crowd in a matchup tonight ;

    Baltimore/Detroit

The combined era of these two starters is a lofty 13.19

In thier last three starts combined a mind boggling 14.89

Those numbers alone would indicate that 8 is to low but dig this

    Baltimore is 3-0 in overs the last 3 , [ 17 , 11 , 14 ]

    Detroit is 2-1 in last 3 , a combined 10.3 per contest

    Add in the case of they have gone over 4 straight against each other [ 11 , 10 , 11 , 14 ]

14 yesterday with " far better " pichers throwing , correct me if I wrong but the OVER @ 8 , looks very strong here !

    Just tid-bits for the room / use-it or lose-it !

    FYI...

According to Yahoo Sports Nate Cornejo is moving up a day to take Mike Maroth's spot in the rotation. It looks like your info is based on Maroth getting the start for the Tigers.

I don't know if this changes anything for you, but figured you might be interested in the info.

      FMI , is right

thanks bigjimt , seems you saved me from a bad post , I owe you one .

Its still highly probable they will go over but it does reduce the odds of a blow-out slugfest quite a bit which in turn on a scale of 1 to 10 bring it down 2 notches or so !

      thanks again !

        Not that it matters much...

... but I'm playing the under. Raul Lopez pitched well last time he was at Comerica and he's significantly better in night games. Also Cornejo has been decent his last three starts and Comerica is definitely a pitcher's park.

How bad is it that Detroit makes a pitching change to avoid having the first pitcher to ever go 0-7 in the month of April.....hahhahahaha

Doesn't Lopez still have a cracked nail on his main pitching index finger? I believe he's been pitching poorly because of this.

I think Detroit made the change...

because Cornejo has been pitching on five days rest consistently. But wouldn't be surprised if that was the real reason.

As for Lopez, i have no idea.

                  from yahoo

ORIOLES PROBABLE STARTER: Lopez (0-3, 7.31 ERA). Lopez did not get a decision in the Orioles' 5-4 win over Chicago on Thursday, allowing four runs and seven hits over six innings.

TIGERS PROBABLE STARTER: Cornejo (1-2, 3.54 ERA). Cornejo suffered his second loss Thursday despite allowing only one run over six innings in a 2-0 setback to the Oakland Athletics. He has allowed two earned runs or less in three of his four starts.

                      odds makers are not dumb......

It looks like this guy Carnejo will give up about three runs and "Detroit is easily the worst hitting team in baseball, ranking last in the league with a team batting average of .182, 12 homers and 58 runs scored. Six of the Tigers' nine everyday position players are batting .200 or lower. (yahoo)" May not score at all.....

almost looks like a trap. after looking at the #s Memphis posted the total should easily be 9.5.
