  • Greatest Ending to a Playoff Game Ever

I would have posted this earlier but I was celebrating late last night along with all of the midwest US. Wow what an ending! 2 outs, no one on base, down by 2 runs, and the Cards rally to beat the lowly ASStros. The momentum has now shifted heavily to the Cardinals especially now that it's in St. Louis and the ASStros won't be able to take advantage of the 200 ft left field in Houston. I'm not saying this because I'm a Cards fan but saying this as a gambler, I wouldn't bet on the ASStros these last 2 games. It's impossible to beat the Cards twice in a row with the same pitcher and I can't see Roy or Roger doing it. If it does get to game 7 I would take the Cards no matter what the line is. Roger is hurting and will get hurt in game 7 just like last year.

The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

There are alot of OPINIONS in this statement. I guess that's why your avatar is what it is.

      1. The astros are not lowly
      2. The Cards are supposed to be the power hitting team. And I believe they didn't take advantage of the short porch either.
      3. Nothings Impossible. Boston down 3-0 to NYY last postseason.

I really have no allegience to to either team since I am a Red Sox fan, but from my many years of watching baseball and gambling, I really believe Astros will still win it.
If momentum always carried over from one game to the next, all gamblers would be rich and Vegas out of business.
I don't think one game is going to take the air out of the Astros's sails, and again I am just speaking from many years of experience of watching what happens some times when one team supposedly has momentum.
The Cards could win, but I wouldn't bet the ranch on it either. jmho

I've always thought you were kind of an ass with your posts.

Do you realize how much more heart the ASTROS have shown than you're glorified cardinals??? And all the respect you show is to call them ASStros and brag about how f'in lucky your team got in the bottom of the ninth facing elimination. The lowly astros, haha that's funny, whatever dude.

I really really really really really really really hope the Astros beat the cards in st. louis in the last game at busch stadium, whether that be game 6 or game 7, I don't care.

You and the rest of the midwest may want to settle down a bit. After winning game 1, your team was almost a 5-1 favorite to win the series and now they still need to win 2 more game against two of the best pitchers in baseball.

Thanks for goochering the Cards. I was feeling a little bad about the Stros' chances, given the momentum shift. Now I have hope.

About the only smart thing you said 'IF IT DOES GET TO GAME 7" because believe me it will not. Momentum my ass, we were 15 games under .500 at the end of May and look where we are now, got you and the rest of the Card fans shitting their pants. ROY O is nasty and will beat ya again like he did in Game 2...Pujols is GREAT and I give him props for knocking the shit out of that pitch, he should have never came up to bat. Too bad you Card fans can't win with good sportsmanship like your players...STROS IN SIX BABY!

IMO Momentum is an over-rated term. Momentum can quickly be neutralized by great pitching.

I believe in momentum during a game. I don't from one game to the next. Any momentum will be negated with the day off.

It was a great ending. I'm not sure I agree with it's Greatest Ending to a Playoff Game Ever. There's been lots of them. It'll go down as one of the greatest.

I love these criticisms! I would love for all of you to put money on the ASStros so the line will be lower for the Cards in game 6. This would be much appreciated. Thank You.

I bet the Stros +1.5 last night.

I'm not a fan of either team. I'd like to see the Astros in the WS. It's nice to have fresh blood. I will be rooting for the Chisox to win the WS.

Big Ticket, where do you get off calling me an ass? I don't know you and could care less if you were on this forum or off of it. I have a right to my opinion and if you disagree with it that's fine but don't call me an ass. That is very unecessary and childlike. I'm sorry if Pujols cost you money last night, which it seemed like he did, but get over it. When everyone on here celebrated last year because the Red Sox beat the Cardinals, where was I? I was congratulating them even though I didn't want to, not calling them asses. So grow up.

                              Hey SD,

I can call you whatever the hell i want to call you, that's the beauty of this forum, so live with it. I am not sure why i think you are an ass, but usually my intuition is pretty accurate so I'll just go with that and stick with it. hahaha you could care less if I was on this forum, where the hell does that come from? I think YOU are the one that is childlike and a homer with your feeble-minded post about how awesome the cards are and how the astros are going to fuck up, when in actuality your cardinals have looked like SHIT the entire series, until the bottom of the 9th last night. I did not lose my bet, I actually won with the astros +1.5 parlayed with the colts ml.

There is no way i am going to congratulate YOU because albert pujols is a stud and came through last night. I posted because I enjoy being a dick sometimes and bringing you back to earth as you seem to think the cardinals have it wrapped up.

If the cards win the series, i will offer you my congratulations. If they don't, i am going to bump this thread. In any case, I have a right to my opinion and i will call you whatever the hell I want. I am not going anywhere.
