The Cards haven't hit for shit. You can't blame a loss on the umpire where you score one run and make a huge baserunning blunder in the ninth inning. If Pujols holds (like he should), they have second and third with one out and there's no DP. Maybe they walk Mabry to load the bases, but at least he doesn't hit into a DP.

That being said, that third strike call on Edmonds was one of the worst i've ever seen.

i agree with all, but why no pinch runner/hitter in any situation. this was pivotal game, you have to get some speed on the bases and larusa knows sanders is hurting and mabry is slow as hell.....you have taguchi and luna on the bench with some speed, i think larussa should have made a move....
