Once again IMO the college football rankings are a joke.

Notre came within one play of beating #1 USC

UCLA needs OT to beat an average Wash St. team. How does UCLA leap ND in the ranking?

Frank i know ND played well but they have 2 losses. I think a team that is undefeated deserves to be in front of them. Just my opinion.

Whats gonna piss me off is IF/WHEN the Longhorns run the table and MURDER whoever they play in BIG 12 championship, Virginia Tech will get to play for national championship because the BIG 12 SUCKS!!!
its funny that whatever system the BCS uses it never works if more than 2 teams are undefeated!!
Why are they so against PLAYOFFS!!! plenty of time at end of season, at least a 4 team playoff would be great!!
these kids don't need the x-mas break, not if it means I get to bet on more games.

You will always have an arguement about someone not getting in. Right now it's the team that gets left out of the Title game. If you went to a playoff of 4 teams you would have that team that gets left out in 5th place. You would be solving one problem but creating another.

All I know is just this 1 thing, if any team in the SEC runs the table in every game they play and dosent get a shot it is total BULLSHIT!!! Not tryin' to take nothing away from USC or Texas, but let them play a GA,LSU,TENN,FL,ALA,OR AUBURN schudule and lets see how they fair. Like I said FUCK THE BCS and every other poll!!!

grif, your right because the playoff teams would most likely come from conference champs, but as long as the undefeated teams get to play for championship lets have playoffs. But I do remember like a few years ago (maybe last year) when like 5 teams were undeafeted going into bowl games.
but I would much rather see a playoff system because right now there are WAY to many bowl games to go around.

Mojo, I agree. With the top 4 teams at least you know they've got the top teams even if it means leaving a team out.

At this point I think a Texas / Va Tech match up would be a GREAT game, maybe better then a pairing of either with USC....
