  • NFL OT Rules Suck

The NFL OT rules are horrible. They should use the same rules as college. It sucks that some teams never get the ball on offense.

Giants stink, they had plenty of chances to put that game away and not ever even go to OT.

      Congrats! We agree on something.

I'm a Giaint fan. So it is some sour grapes but it's been something I've expressed for years. Each team should get the ball at least once.

        Frank-I agree.
        Lets see what's next:

Baseball-if the game is tied at the end of 9 innings, the ump flips a coin to see who bats first;for the team who wins the toss, that team has a runner at third with no one out and 3 outs to score him;if they do, the game is over and the other team doesn't get a chance to bat.

Basketball- if tied at the end of regulation the game is tied, the referee flips a coin;the winner of the toss gets two foul shots with a designated foul shooter, If he makes either one, the game is over at that point with no opportunity for the other team.

Hockey-If game tied at end of regulation, the referee flips a coin. The winning team designates anyone to get a shot at the net from center ice with NO goalie. If the guy makes the shot, the game is over at that point with no chance for other team.

If there is too much bother in above scenarios, well, just have the ref. flip the coin, and whoever wins the coin flip wins the game.

I've played in golf tourny that determine ties with chip off. Who chips closest to the hole. It SUCKS!

You play 72 holes to be eliminated on a chip off.

I think OT should definately be like college! It's bullshit that both teams don't get a fair shot to win the game.

Although Pgh won the cointoss and they lost anyway!

I agree. Two teams fight it out all game long and it comes down to who wins the flip of the coin. IMO both teams should have one chance to have the ball in OT, period. Let the coin toss decide who get's the ball first, not who wins the game.
