This will be the only college football GOY-- in my earlier thread this week discussing the subject,k a lot of people felt like we should post our recoeds on these things.......well, i dont know mine, but i am sure some people do, here is a guess that it is over 75% and if i am wrong, i am sure someone will call me out on it.........i dont mean to come off crass but you get the point
10* Colorado (+17) at Texas------>excuse the first odd betting angle here but i really love these weeks where all the attention is focused on whether USC will lose to notre dame, yet, nobody thinks this is a big game?? texas is off a HUGE emotional win vs. their biggest rival and come on, nobody goes undefeated EVER without one or two close calls, and texas has not had theirs yet and if it is not here, it will not be til thanksgiving...........what is wrong with this colorado team? so they lost by 20 at miami in a major climate change road trip......throw out that game where anybody in that country could lose and you are left with 4 imprssive victories, a defense that returned 10 starters from last year, an experienced QB and a team that just crushed a pretty good texas A & M squad.........i am a huge vince young fan but the oklahoma, texas tech sandwich and 17 points are too much in a game that i think will be much closer than USC-Notre dame..........someone will lose in the top 5 this weekend and it will not be USC, hmm, maybe here?
other big games:
10* Usc (-12) at Notre Dame--->yeah i remember miami in 89, fsu in 93 and michigan in 97, but all 3 of those games , nobody thought notre dame would win, for some reason everybody is all over usc because they know they only have to try for 15 minutes to win a game........hard for a team with 3 straight national titles (i know, just 2, but they were the best team that year too) to care about anything but the title game.......if they are interested, this is gonna be really bad, if they arent, lets just hope that when they decide to try, they can cover 12
10* Arkansas (+7.5) vs Auburn---->too many points at home
10* Boise state (-30) vs SJSU--->my friend who is the worst gambler i know came to me this week and said "i love sjsu vs. boise state, i saw boise state was losing in the 2nd half last week to portland state".......that logic should be enough for boise state to win by 50
10* Arizona (-4.5) vs. stanford-->ugh, hard to type in arizona - anything but serious line value here because the idiots from washington state let stanford beat them last week, probably concentrating too much on the fact that stanford lost to UC david 2 weeks before
10* Washington state (+5) vs ucla--->i am actually sold on ucla, but this is a tough trip for ucla off an emotional win where they had to come from behind
10* Bowling Green (-23.5) vs Buffalo--->always a good angle when a winless team leads the entire game like buffalo did last week vs. akron and then loses......usually the mindset the following week is "we blew our only chance to win".....good luck rebounding here vs. merciless bowling green
good luck
