Personally, if I were Everett, I wouldn't like being called Chris Everett and taunted by Rome either on national tv and on the air waves.
I am not saying what Everett did was right, but on the other hand, I didn't feel sorry for Rome either.
I really thought the whole thing was funny, as Rome called his bluff and lost!

The video was very funny.

I didn't say I felt sorry for Rome. I'm saying after watching the video I had more respect for Rome and less respect for Jim Everett.

He tried bullying Jim Rome. When Rome didn't back down he tossed Rome on the floor. Knocking Rome off his seat. He didn't even give Rome a chance to stand up and defend himself. He's twice the size of Rome. To me that's a bully.

If he had a problem with Rome calling him Chris he should have gotten up and walked off the set. He came on the show for one purpose. To make Rome back down and look like a pussy. When it didn't succeed he bullied Rome.

IMO Jim Chris Evertt proved he was a pussy by hitting a guy that was seated.

The other side of the coin is why did ROME ask Everett to come on the show in the first place? Don't you think that should be considered?

Did you ever consider Everett asked to be on the show? He had a point to prove. He was aware that Rome's been calling him Chris.

Yeah I mean if he really put Rome down on the show (I don't think he did) with a few choice words.
I see what you mean-that was a typo I meant Everett (not Rome) said something to Rome.(don't dish it out if you can't take it-another words try to embarrass Rome on national tv).

I remember the incident well-a buddy of mine and I were talking sports and gambling on the phone and both had our tv's turned on to espn and saw the incident as it occurred; neither one of us could believe it.

Watch the video. Everett pushed the table aside and knocked Rome, while seated in the chair, off the stage. Then stood over him.

Not scraping with someone twice your size and knowing can kick your ass does not make a guy a pussy. It makes him smart.

When I say Rome didn't back down I was refering to him still calling Everett, Chris. Jim said he won't call him Chris to his face. Even after he did so two times.

A real man. A man who's secure with himself would have laughed the name calling off. Everett had a point to prove. He was called a girl by a guy half his size.
