The Blue Jays' parent company, Rogers Communications Inc., is offering $1 tickets for Tuesday's game in an effort to ``bring the community together at SkyDome ... to show its support for the city of Toronto.''

As of Monday afternoon, 40,000 tickets had been sold for Tuesday's game -- roughly 24,000 since the Blue Jays announced the promotion Sunday. The team said tickets for the game are being sold at the rate of approximately 2,000 an hour.
