Note to HOMER:
I know u have looked at these games "If not yet" here they are..........tell me what you think????
Ohio U @ CMICH (-6)
Chippewas who sports a 5-1 record homecomings against the number in this series since 1991. In terms of the all-time series between these two schools, the Chippewas hold a commanding 17-4-2 advantage. However, it was the Bobcats who came away with a 34-3 victory when they last met CMU back in 2001.
Overall Neither of these squads is going to dominate anyone with their offense, but the Chippewas are dangerous with the ground duo of Sneed and Smith. Ohio continues to get little production under center and will likely drop its fourth road game because of it.
EMICH @ NILL (-19)
Don't really like this game, NILL covered the number in last 8 homecomings. This might come as a surprise, but the Eagles are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against the Huskies. 19 points seems like nothing for NILL Homecoming but the ATS for EMICH scares me off..... As far as the all-time series between these two schools is concerned, the Huskies currently own a 20-13-2 edge.
I do like this stat though.......Eastern Michigan's offense was in the red zone just twice last Saturday and could only muster a single field goal. Quarterbacks Matt Bohnet and Tyler Jones both saw time under center for the Eagles, but neither was all that effective, with Bohnet hitting 14-of-28 for 128 yards and Jones 10-of-13 for just 38 yards and an interceptions. The rushing attack didn't fare much better with Dwayne Harrison posting a team-best 47 yards on seven attempts. Overall, the unit converted only 4-of-14 on third down in the loss. Bohnet has taken the majority of the snaps for the Eagles this season, hitting 61.5 percent of his attempts for seven touchdowns and just two interceptions, but even with that sort of success the squad is still producing only 223.7 ypg through the air. Bohnet is also the top rusher for the program with 257 yards and a pair of scores, so with him carrying much of the load, it's easy to see why the Eagles rank 92nd in the nation on the ground.
The conclusion leads to picks with
2* CMICH
1* NILL
*110-100
