Larry's NHL Wednesday==>

With a week of games under the belt, I am ready to start making picks in the NHL on a more regular basis. (I have only made 3 so far). While my first three picks were gut plays for fun, now I have enough stats and fantasy data to plug into my NHL system, although it should get more accurate as more home/away data can be compilied (the reason for smaller wagers early on…). Hopefully it will be profitable, it was for two years before the lockout. Not sure how the rule change will effect it.

2* Columbus/SanJose OVER 6 (-107 Pinnacle)
San Jose is fifth in the league in goals scored per game. While Columbus has scored the third least of any team per game, San Jose has allowed the most goals per game of any team.

1* Vancouver/Carolina UNDER 6 (-105 Pinnacle)
These two teams goals for and against average only 5.5 per game combined. Carolina has scored the 4th least of any team in the league while Vancouver is 7th best for goals allowed (2.33 per game).

Larry....Vancouver plays Minnesota, not Carolina. I like the Vanc/Minn Under too. I take it that's the game you were referring to?

Good Luck Larry onion..I like them both..Sharks had a good D last year but with rule changes this year they don't know how to play the man in front of the goal and a lot of shots are going in cause the goalie is shielded from the puck.

Yes - I posted the correct version in #4. I type out my leans in a word doc, and then edit them down to picks - copy and paste. So I get an extra bonehead award for looking at that mistake 50 times before posting without fixing it!
