  • ALCS most decieving stat

Here's something to think about before you throw $$ down on tonights game.

Pitchers records are one of the most deceiving stats because most teams don't usually have all the same players on them from the year before...Also pitchers change teams and career losing records could have come from being on a bad team or guys sitting because of clinching playoffs....What really matters is the players hits and AB vs pitchers, that's were real stats can give you an advantage and make you a consistent $$$ winner.
Here's an example for tonights game:
Contreras is 0-3 vs LAA in his career and Byrd is 5-2....

LAA 2005 baseball team is 17 for 61 vs Contreras all time...

I know alot of you guys follow stats and I feel their records are the stat that misleads people into thinking pitchers can't win aginst the team.....
Hits vs At Bats is usually the difference to look for in picking the winning team.
Also Contreras is on a 10 game winning streak...
Good luck in whoever you take

Paul Byrd is going on three days rest. Usually pitchers that do that don't fare very well. USUALLY. I'm with Chuck and Wayne tonight GO SOX!
      It's always noon somewhere!

Mr Cheese, What I Don't Understand Is That The Line Is Detemined By The Pitchers, It Is Like The Other 8 Position Players, Bench Strength, Coaches, Home Field Etc Never Comes Into Play, And Since It Appears That An Equal Number Of Runs Or More Are Scored From The 7th Inning On, Bullpens Or Lack Thereof Would Come Into Play, Two Games In One, The First 6 And The Last Three............................these Thoughts And 25 Cents Will Get You A Postcard Of A Broken Levee In New Orleans, Thanks Bud
