seriously rip, that is much cooler than anything any yanks fan has ever said, where i'm from at least...
what would be the best world series matchup?
i say cards vs. white sox, with the cards losing again to a pair of sox

Call me what you want, "CLASSLESS, TYPICAL YANKEE FAN, ARROGANT", its all good I already know I am bringing criticism upon myself for these next comments.

I see no reason to Congratulate Angel fans cos I dont see any on this forum, just a whole bunch of anti-yankee people who can certainly relish their elimination but dont need to be congratulated for ir.

the Angels bullpen was the reason they were better than us but I cant help but notice all of the missed opportunities we missed. leaving TONS of runners on base last night. Bernie missing a sign, Bellhorn not taking the free extra base, Sheffield not coming up with the ball. Etc etc etc... and that was just last nights debacle...

Color me what you will but start with disappointed!!! The Angels bullpen was spectcular but I would have loved for the series to be best of seven!!!

how you guys like arod now?? he isnt clutch in the regular season let alone the postseasonm nightmare.....he hits all of his homers when the games in hand, has he actually single hadidly won a game for the yankees since they got him??

I am as disappointed in A-Rod as anyone but dont overstate things:
First off he had 3 HR's and 10 RBI's (?) against the same pitcher that started last nights game and is supposed to win the Cy Young.
he also had a game tyime HR against the Orioles in the last week of the season and won the same game with a hit in the eighth.

Look he was walked seven times in the series, but what was disappointing was the error in game 2 and then the runners LOB last night.

How about extending a congratulations to two other fans.....

Atlanta Brave fans for having the worst relief pitching in the league and blwing yet another fantastic season in the first round.....

and to all the Anti-Yankee fans out there..... these "money ball" teams show yet again they dont have what it takes to come up in the clutch and win like everyone and their mother expects them too.....

also gotta thank Mr October, Alex Rodriguez.... without him the Yankees would have never lost last year and this series as well.... thank you "Mr Clutch"... I salute you

thats one instance in 162 games....not to sound like a smartass but i would really like to breakdown arods yankee career and see how many go ahead runs he was a part of, even tying runs...he's not a jeter, he's a me first manny type, even though manny is more valuable to the sox because of his protecting papi....

obviously i'm a sox fan, but after witnessing the yankee arod, it makes you appreciate jeter so much more...i just think jeter is what baseball is all about, not arod..

The Jeters and Biggios of the world are what baseball is about.... the id rather have 350/360 OBP than 40 homers and hit 280.... the ones who would sacrifice a runner over or take a walk when its needed.... the ones who come through time after time in the clutch.... Arod is a tremendous athlete and had a fantastic year.... he is just not a clutch postseason player or for the most part clutch at all.... maybe its the New York atmosphere and he will prove us wrong next year.... it did take Piazza a year or two when he came to NY.... maybe only some can play for George and her in the apple and some can not.... look at Mr. Beltran for example

                            asterik~

I would love to see a comparison of A-Rods stats compared to "clutch" situations. Putting his team ahead, after the seventh inning etc...

I am not an A-Rod fan, but I am also not going to bash him for his at bat in the ninth yesterday. I feel that the Yankees wouldnt have been in the playoffs without his production both offensively and defensively.

As much as his lack of October success takes away from his "mvp" type of season, his still had a remarkable year.

The only point you've made that I will disagree with strongly is the fact that you think a-rod wont move a runner or sacrifice his ba for the betterment of the team. Alex didnt come through all series but it had NOTHING to do with him being more concerned about himself rather than the team!!!

I couldnt agree more.. We got beat by a better team.. I said even before this series was over the winner would get knocked out against the White Sox and i would have said it if the Yanks would have won last night.. Chicago White Sox will win the World Series..
